The movements were actually pretty damn realistic as far as severe Tourette's goes from what I've seen. I figure as long as they do it, they should at least do it justice.

Hey, Goldust plays it well. Not sure if there's any sort of shelf-life to it, but it's still damn funny.
The only thing funnier than that? The Rock/Hurricane interview!!! "Have you been smokin' those funny cigarettes?" I'm suprised RVD didn't bust into the door at that point.
You thought watching Thunder was bad? Raw is like watching Thunder in re-runs.
Dudes, I am so glad that I am not the only one who laughed at that. It went from funny, to not funny, to hilariously funny. Every time it seems like they are going to bury Dustin, he makes himself even more entertaining. You gotta dig that.
It looked pretty realistic, from what I recall of a fellow student quite a few years back that had Tourette's. Sadly, you know the writers are going to rework the whole thing so is is about as subtle as Michael Jackson at the Happy Daze Day Care Centre.
I think the Goldust/ Booker union was more entertaining then Goldust pretending to be mentally handicapped. I guess if/when this angle tanks, they can reunite the team.
Goldust as a foil in Booker's battle against HHH's group would have elevated him.
prehaps dustin will be turned heel and the tourettes would just be him playing mind games by going yet even bizzarer....or keep him face and hes doing it to fuck with orton and batista which would be cool in my opinion
That solution is wayyyyyyyyy too intelligent to actually be played out. I like it, nonetheless, which is why it's a shame it won't ever happen.
Goldust having this Tourette's tick and clicking and such during his promos is the extent of it, I'm afraid. I almost felt bad for J.R. during the interview, as he looked like he was embarrassed.
If Dustin does this on flights for entertainment, great. But I imagine it's in the midst of the boys having been on the road for some time and they're tired, and hungry, and just ready to go home and see their families, and any silly entertainment is good entertainment at that time. As it is, to me, it just plays off like a lame and potentially offensive gimmick that can go a very limited distance before dying.

Great idea. That would definitely fit the character of The Bizarre Goldust. But like GRL said, that's WAY too intelligent for the likes of Gerwirtz or however you spell his name.
Good stuff by Goldust as he continues to step up his game, even in the face of Wrestlecrap constantly being tossed at him. I'd look forward to a feud with 100% Randy Orton.
I don't know about this angle. I've heard about Tourette's, but I've never seen a sufferer. Actually, when I saw the interview last night, I totally didn't think it was Tourette's at all. It was more like... Okay, I'm a fan of Red Dwarf (a sci-fi Britcom for those who don't know), and there's this one guy on it. His name's Kryten, and he's an android who missed a couple of upgrades, and when he speaks sometimes, he stutters like a needle stuck in a record. That lead me to say after the segment, and I feel a tad embarrased about this...
"WHO IS THAT ROBOT AND WHAT DID HE DO TO GOLDUST?!"
That did get laughs from my peeps, so I felt better about that comment. I'm still unsure about where this goes.

Yeah, there you go! Something like that, I totally forgot about the Tourettes until it was over.

How does Tourettes translate into in-ring mindgames like the homophobia tricks he used to do?
Maybe they could have had him get some sort of mental disorder where he goes on violent rages when he's off his medication?
I'm all for trying new things but one can only suspend his disbelief so far. Remember VinnieMac, you promised to stop insulting our intelligence in 1997. :)
The only reason everyone keeps bringing up Tourette's is because that's how some news site described the character. The on-air angle is about electrocution not Tourette's so I don't know why people talk about how offensive it is. I am no doctor but I don't think electrical energy causes the disease.
Goldust has won both the funniest and most improved awards from me since the Invasion. Those skits all seemed to have a lot of his own influence on them so I say let him do his thing.
