The night that Orton and Bautista electrocuted Golddust, I started a thread saying that it looked like the WWE was at least laying the foundation for Booker T vs. HHH at WrestleMania. I am glad to see that the WWE is still moving in that direction after Booker won the title shot in the battle royale on Raw.

Of course, I must temper the feeling by pointing out that they do have plenty of time and ways to change that matchup before the time comes. But, as of right now, it's looking like Booker T will have the opportunity to become the Six Time, Six Time, Six Time, Six Time, Six Time, Six Time World Heavyweight Champion.

I didn't get to watch the show, but after reading the summary at the Torch I *knew* there was going to be a thread with this title. :)

So basically, WrestleMania's goin' like this...

Lesnar vs. Angle

Booker T vs. Trippulaytch

The Rock vs. Austin(?)

Test vs. Jericho

And A Buncha Other Matches. w00t.

With Triple H knocked out, Booker runs over and pins him causing the crowd to erupt and banners and confetti to float down from the sky in celebration.

Does anyone think they're gonna sell t-shirts with "Evolution" on them? What, are they gonna have a picture of a hunched-over ape slowly evolving into Hunter?

I know you're just doing your little gimmick but, I actually think Booker has a decent chance to win that title at WrestleMania, especially with HHH's recent injury problems. But, I'll settle for a good match that at least has Booker pushing HHH to the edge.

WOW! It only took until the 3rd post for someone to cynically deny Booker winning the title! That's gotta be a new record or something. Booker's time is here. All praise the Booker man!

The question is this: Booker looks at his hand, right? 5 fingers - 5 time. When he wins it for the 6th time ( ), is he going to use 2 hands before the Spinarooni?

As the show was going off the air, The Book raised his right hand with five fingers up, then raised his left with 1 finger up to signify 6. If Booker is going to beat HHH at 'Mania, they better give him some impressive winds to build up his rep with fans. He gets the pop, but WWE is going to have to give him some wins so fans will truly believe in him beating the mighty HHH.

Actually, he'll continue to use one hand, as he will be a ONE TIME WORLD'S HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!!!

And besides, it won't matter, cuz he's gonna WHOOP Terra's ASS!! See, if everyone would pay attention to Booker's wise words of wisdom...

"Don't hate the Playa, hate the GAME!!!"

Now I know I can dig that...

That was great!

It was the first time in a long time, that the 12-year old inside could go "Yes!!!!!!" instead of the 34-year old "smark" who was expecting Rocky to go over.

I'll be disappointed if they kill this, but that moment was golden.

If Booker wins, I see him looking at the "one finger" on one hand, THEN the "Five Fingers" on the other, before the Spinaroony.

Jkyle.com says:

I always thought he'd look at five, then lower four to both signify his 6 wins and then the fact that he's number one.

By the way, it's been a long road from Booker showing up and pissing the Rock off to the fans praying Book would draw the Great One's blood. Fuck smarkism, pessimism, and the conspiracy theories... I just walked away happy from a Raw.

Oh and the Rock straight up RULES for doing the 1-2-3-punch parody spot with Helms. RULES.

I've been telling you guys all along. It's the power of THE HAND. This same power will have Booker reclaim the Big Gold Belt - that IS rightfully his.

By the way, Saying Heel Rock is "awesome" is grossly beneath what he truly is. :)

Well, I'm pissed. I was seriously thinking it would come down to The Rock and Hurricane at the end, with the Hurricane winning by fluke.

I'm not saying that they wouldn't have some sort of match next week to get the title shot off of him, but doing something like that once in a while is what gives the show new life, and I thought they set those two up perfectly for something like that.

I am very happy with that ending, and hopeful that things will progress to the rightful conclusion of the Bookerman taking the belt away from the booker-man.

As for Rock as a heel, he is somewhere far beyond awesome and just short of messianic in his brilliance.

I called this one long before that, dude.

He had that one match where he lost fairly clean to Trips before the Elimination Chamber match, but it was on a RAW where nothing happened and no one will remember it if it isn't brought up.

He is the only RAW talent of that calibre who is fathomable in the title match at 'Mania. RVD is done and can't cut promos for grown-ups anyway. Steiner obviously isn't cookin' it at Mania with Trips if they're meeting at the Rumble; otherwise they wouldn't have given it away. Book is our only choice unless they go back to Shawn. And they won't because it looks like Shawn/Jericho at 'Mania.

If you think about it, Book is really the only choice they've had. I wouldn't be surprised if this was a long-term plan for WWE...As long-term as they are capable of getting, anyway.

Sorry about the hijacking, but is anyone else gonna be there? For the SD! side, you are missing all the Gowen hooplah. Surely they will have something involving that. And Cena seemed to be picking a fight with Angle two weeks ago on SD!
