Okay, so there's already a NWO PPV predictions thread, so I thought I'd do something differently. I'd like to know what you predict will be the card for WrestleMania. Here's my personal prediction:
Kurt Angle v. Brock Lesnar Triple H v. Booker T Steve Austin v. The Rock Undertaker v. Big Show Rob Van Dam v. Kane Chris Benoit v. Rhyno Team Angle v. Los Guerreros (their vignette on SmackDown was AWESOME! VIVA LOS GUERREROS!) Shawn Michaels v. Chris Jericho Rey Misterio v. Matt Hardy Jazz v. Trish Stratus v. Lita Dudley Boyz v. William Regal/Lance Storm Hulk Hogan v. Vince McMahon (Damn near forgot about Hogan)
Well, that's twelve matches, even though the past two years there's been eleven. I was gonna' include Steiner v. Batista, but there's just no room for them. I'm sure I've forgotten other important people as well. Whatever
What are your guys WrestleMania card predictions?
You thought watching Thunder was bad? Raw is like watching Thunder in re-runs.
On the WrestleMania website, it lists the show as being from 8PM EST to MIDNIGHT. Four hours so probably 3 hours 45 minutes or so. How long did the last two run? I can't remember.
This all hinges on if Goldberg has signed or not.
The only thing's I'd change about Omega's card are:
Undertaker vs Nathan Jones Jazz vs Trish vs Victoria (Lita is out until at least May)
Steiner vs Flair or Orton or Batista Goldust vs Orton or Batista
Eh, i don't like the idea of another month of Big Show/Undertaker nor Nathan Jones/Taker. But he has to have someone. Maybe HE should face Rhyno and give Benoit Kanyon or Cena.
May as well put Nathan Jones/Taker together and have one bad match then splitting them up and having two bad matches. That was just my feeling and from Nathan's promo this past week, seems like they were setting up him against Taker.
Wait ... didn't Big Show host Mania from WWF New York/The World last year? He should do that again this year. That's gotta be bad for your self esteem.

Wrestlemania regularly runs about an hour longer than the other eleven PPVs.
Mmmm... Ashley Judd. The perfect woman. 1) Absolutely gorgeous. 2) Loves UK basketball. 3) Was on Star Trek. What more can you ask for?

Is that official at this point? Because if it is, you've got to wonder (more so than ever before, that is) why they ever bother pushing Big Show to any sort of important role at all. Let alone winning the WWE Title.

Here's what I was talking about with rumors straight into fact. Nobody said Big Show was hosting WrestleMania at The World. Chances are, it won't happen either.
I think Big Show should just host the PPVs at WWE New York every month. He sucks in the ring, but he's great on the stick, so that'd play to his strengths. He'd appear every PPV for a thirty second interview, and we wouldn't have to wretch at his in-ring work.
They can do the same with Triple H too, but maybe cut his mic.

If I were a WWE Superstar, I'd much rather have hosted from the World last year than be involved in the giant piece of crap Mania X8 was. Whew.
As for the card this year, I'm still thinking we'll see Goldberg/Rock this year. That leaves: HHH/Booker Hogan/McMahon Angle/Lesnar Trish/Jazz/Victoria Jericho/HBK Undertaker/A-Train Benoit/Team Angle
I DON'T think we'll see Nathan Jones on the show this year.
If they don't sign Goldberg and God, I hope they don't, here is the card.
HHH vs Booker Austin vs. Rock Shawn vs. Jericho Trish vs. Jazz vs. Victoria Dudleyz vs. Regal/Storm Los Guerras vs. Team Angle Angle vs. Lesnar Nathan/Taker vs. Albert/Big Show Rey vs. Matt Jeff/Hurricane/Goldust vs. Christian/Batista/Orton Kane vs. RVD
no john cena? the problem is that i really want to see him on the card, because i'm really starting to dig him. but where would he go? it looked like they were going to do a brock/cena feud, but that definitely won't be until after wrestlemania, possibly way after.
As time goes on, I learn to appreciate more and more just how difficult it is to book or build a card. Right now, I'm taking a grad course in mathematical optimization, and it's funny how booking a card can *almost* be translated into a math problem. At WM, you're going to have 60K excited fans, and you want to make them as happy as possible. So, you're problem is how to maximize crowd heat, given certain constraints. One constraint might be to minimize (or hide) your injured or bad workers. Another constraint might be booking matches that purposely don't have too much heat, because every card needs some filler (keeping your audience from getting drained too soon). You could almost do a paper on it.
Anyway, for a prediction…one of two scenarios…1) HHH v. Booker and the rest of the Evolution v. Goldust, Steiner and Nash, or, if HHH isn't 100%, 2) A four-on-four match wirh HHH's title on the line.
I'm as big a Booker mark as anyone, but I'm thinking that if they were going to give him the title shot at Mania, he would have, you know, been given something to do at last night's PPV. It's not like there wasn't an obvious, reasonably viable match that would have built up to the Mania shot if they were going that way.
I think it's more likely that we get HHH/Austin or HHH/Nash if the latter's ready to return. Otherwise, they might put Evolution in some 4-on-4 or something (I'm guessing that there will have to be at least one match with 8 people, maybe more, just to get more folks onto the rather crowded card).
HHH vs Booker Austin vs. Rock Shawn/Jeff Hardy vs. Jericho/Christian Trish vs. Jazz vs. Victoria Dudleyz vs. Regal/Storm RVD vs. Kane Benoit/????? vs. Team Angle vs. Los Guerras Angle vs. Lesnar Taker vs. Big Show (Hell In The Cell stipulation) Rey vs. Matt Hogan vs. Vince
What they could do is take everyone who doesn't wind up with a match, both RAW and Smackdown, and put them all into a big battle royale - giving the winner free agency to negotiate between the two brands. It would only take about fifteen/twenty minutes, and would let everyone get a spot on the Wrestlemania card, which would be a complete impossibility otherwise, what with the huge roster they've built.
