-Konann sit-down Interview conducted by Mike Tenay -Lynn v.s Flair v.s Killings v.s Sanders 4 corners elim. match -Siaki v.s Red for the X Title -Low Ki & Skipper v.s Lee & Slash for Tag Titles
Yes, Russo did, in fact, pretty much kill off the X Division. With a lot of help from Siaki -- who isn't bad, but he doesn't belong in the X Division.
As for the rest of the show -- the problem is is that Russo insists on surrounding himself with LOUSY wrestlers, and, since every match has to feature one of Russo's SEX guys, nearly every match has a bad worker in it. Witness tonight -- Ron Killings and Jerry Lynn have to take on Russo's buddies, Mike Sanders (tonight, wearing a military outfit and called "Colonel Sanders" by Russo -- ha ha!) and David Flair. I mean, How is that going to be any good. And who else is in SEX? B.G. James (Road Dogg), The Harris Boys, Disco Inferno...lumps, lumps, lumps. These oafs take up all the time that COULD be spent on, say, EZ Money, Tony Mamaluke, Shark Boy, The SATs -- NONE of these guys have been seen in the last couple of weeks, at least!
But there is hope!
Konnan did an EXCELLENT sit-down interview with Mike Tenay, and there were STRONG HINTS that he migt be bringing in some Lucha Libre guys to show up these white kids who have been ripping of the Lucha guys' style and moves. THAT, I will happily pay for.

If this angle = the return of the rightful Chairman, LA PARKA, I will also happily shill out my $10 to the NWA.
And I KNOW you didn't just diss the Disco Inferno. He's so cocky...he's so cool...
Star wipe, and...we're out. Thrillin' ain't easy. . . THE THRILL All-Star Championship Wrestling Home Video Technical Director...& A2NWO 4 Life!

IMO he is just a disco dancing fool..
From reading all the reports on TNA all I can think is why the fuck did they take a promotion that did its best to be different and offer nice matches (although spotty at times) and made it into one big WWE/WCW/ancientNWAnames fosterhome? And why do people pop for those legends/fossils? When Slaughter has a match on Heat it is horrible because he takes away time from a young guy but on TNA it is great to see the Dusty Rhodes beat up a locker room?
I know, I know..it's Russo booking..*sigh*
Steve Jackson! Games! Sluggy.com! Games! And err..Games!
Russo's bringing up Luchas = Disco back under the hood as La Cuckaracha. (sp)
Also the return of Pinata on a Pole match.

Yeah, I do have a soft spot for Disco, but he's not about to carry Jorge Estrada to a good match. Plus, he's not Disco anymore -- He's Glen "The Gift" Gilberti. Although he was wearing flared camo pants, for what that's worth.
I tend to agree with dMp's view, here, too.
Odessa, I'm willing to sit through a Pinata on a Pole match to get my luchadores back. Especially if Konnan's managing them.
So I usually order TNA about once a month, whenever I am home in time and feel like it. Well, after hearing about the return of the R and R express, Nikita, and of course EVIL Tony S. I was psyched to see the show.
DAMN IT! I always pick the wrong week to order. There was hardly any old timers on the show (Dusty notwithstanding), there were no surprise guests and the matches mostly sucked ass. The women's match went WAY too long. Estrada sucks. Disco sucks. The slow schmozz at the end of the show sucked.
I feel very cheated by this week's snoozefest. And it looked like the crowd mostly agreed with me. The crowd was so dead that I could have sworn they were at the Nassau Coliseum or in Albany.
Thumbs way down for this debacle from someone who usually tries to look at the positives in wrestling (only positive this week- Raven's still the man on the microphone).
I agree with just about everything that has been said about the show. Not a very fulfilling episode at all.
Only thing I noticed is that I get the sense the women's match was not supposed to go that long, as it seemed like there was a lot of stalling in the early part after the kick from Siaki to Trinity. She seemed really out of it for a while after that, which makes me wonder if he didn't connect a bit too much and knock her a bit loopy, causing them to have to kill time until she got her brain unscrambled.
If I were a cartoon character in high school, I would so have a crush on Joan Of Arc.

La Parka Los Fabulosos (Silver King and El Dandy, right?) Blitzkrieg Psychosis Juvy the list goes on... if TNA got all of them, I would likely start actually buying it. I miss WCW-style lucha action...

They HAD Nicho El Millionaire (Psychosis) already, they should have signed him earlier.
La Parka is a comedy wrestler and he's gotten into trouble for decking fans last I heard.
Silver King has gotten sloppy as BT 3. Well, I'd guess he'd fit right in. Super Sloppy, I mean, best with Tajiri, too.
And you'd take any of them over Eddy, Chavo, and Rey?
Didn't say that I would take them OVER Eddy, Rey, and Chavo, but it would sure get me interested in watching. Damn I love Filet Mignon, but there is no way in hell I am going to pass up on Baby-back ribs...
With Russo and Konnan both on board, Juvy's return is an inevitability. It's all a matter of when. I'm down with that! I demand my Styles/Juvy match NOW! I also demand to see La Parka on my TV again, but for the love of God, PLEASE leave the dubbing gimmick in Russo's closet of failed ideas.
Last night's show bit the big one, but Tenacious Z's PPV debut made it memorable and a historic moment.
Ron Killings has been losing steam. His face turn is killing him, but last night was a good moment. I like how Lynn, the virtuous babyface, got pissed because Killings didn't help him, to which Killings responded "It's an elimination match!" You don't see enough faces with BRAINS AND INTELLIGENCE like Ron Killings!
I like It's False's signature pic. Bring Trinity to the WWE.

Wow, that Ted DiBiase sucked even by 80s NES standards, huh? I remember the first Survivor Series main event. I was seven and it was Thanksgiving and I was ***PISSED*** that I had to go to my Grandmother's house when there was a PPV on.
