Na. All the fun stops for me when all the sucky people get booted off. I'll start watching again when it gets close to the end.

Come to think of it, wasnt this year's "Weeding through all the sucky people" portion of the series go by much faster than last year's, or was that just me?

It's over for me. My only interest was watching the terrible people get berated. Now that it's just "talented" people left, I've completely lost interest. (It doesn't help that *everyone* sounds exactly the same.)

Although, I am tempted to see how far the "metal" guy who looks *exactly* like Mideon gets.

It's over for me too. There is nothing I like more than seeing peoples dreams being crushed.

I know,I'm mean.

And am I the one only who thinks people sing terrible on purpose just to get made fun of and get on T.V.?

I heard there's supposed to be an American Idol movie out this spring with Justin and Kelly. I hope that doesn't become an annual tradition, with the winner and runner-up in a movie together.

For me, I couldn't care less about the show.

Wow, THAT'LL put a lot of asses in the seats. When Britney Spears can't draw more than $40 million for a movie, it's time to realize that NO popstar can draw more than that*.

Oh yeah, the asterix stands for Mandy Moore. We all know why. [Psst...she's hooooot. And can act!]

Anyhoo, American Idol will now become my "waiting out commercials" standby. And God help me if American Idol is on commercials... *Shudders* Still, it'll be fun to watch Simon berate people for no reason.

Pass, thanks.

I'll be enjoying that amazingly hot 17-year-old jailbait on that new John Ritter show, thank you very much.

Oh, sorry...was that out loud?

JD Adams looks to be the teenage cell phone user favorite for this round - I miss the father of one contestant come out from the back and confront Simon - I am sure it will be run again in the results show tonight - JD & Kimberly get through with Trenyce the 3rd option - Julia will be one of the judge's wild card picks for the 9th & 10th spot

Well, stupid me thought that Bettis was great. I missed part of the show, but he was the highlight of the second half for me. I couldn't believe all the judges ripped on him.

I didn't see the blond singer perform, but on looks alone I hope she stays in the competition.

I take it you didn't go see "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind"...

Gene has a speaking cameo in it, and when they pull the camera back, it's visibly apparent that Gene's dancing days are over. As in, Gene no longer comes with all of his original, factory-shipped parts.

To this day, the Philadelphia Phillies ground crew still dances with the Phanatic to Gene's music.

Well, I didn't expect to see the REAL Gene. I mean, this is FOX after all, so I was expecting one of those fat kids from "Me, Myself, and Irene."

As for CoaDM, my theater carried it for ONE week, and I was working that Saturday.

Well, you were half right about Kimberly and Julia, Kim!

As for our household - we voted for Charles and Patrick. I thought he took a little too much hating on his clothes from Simon. His voice made up for whatever he was lacking in sartorial splendor.

I,like most of the neanderthals on the board, thought I would stop watching after the initial "crappy singers" rounds, but Simon is still dishing on the "good" singers too. And I am kind of pulling for Frenchie now, so I have to watch.

When it came down to Kimberly and Julia I was like "oh man" and I was so happy that Julia ended up being the one who won out. Kimberly's too sure of herself and too much of a camera hog and you could just see her in the background while Julia was singing saying "Why HER?" and I was watching her saying "hahahaha."

Patrick sounded sort of strained and shrieky to me, I'm not surprised he didn't make it through.

I didn't get a single pick right btu Kimberley now looks to be an easy shoe in for one of the wild card spots just so FOX can hype "the Rivalry"......Like Pieman, I'm hoping for Frenchie to pull through to the final 10

Well, I think that those were pretty obvious selections last night. Ruben and Kimberly really were the best, though I really dig Clay Aiken. I don't think picking "Open Arms" by Journey was his smartest move though. I think he might be the new Rick Astley, though!

He certainly looks like Rick Astley and he looks a lot different than when he first tried out - he's got a good shot at one of the wild card slots
