My brother, his roommate and girlfriend, and I all went to Raw tonight. We had seats directly facing the Titantron. Overall, it was a good show that kind of died at the end. Some of the highlights included:
Sean O' Haire - I don't know how his character is going to translate into the ring, but his skills are already there. He looked crisp, sharp, and vicious. His crucifix powerbomb was especially brutal. If they are doing a take on him being like Satan or under Satanic influence, that finisher works quite well. Once he had Dinero up in the crucifix pose, he spun around to show the whole crowd. I dug that.
Jazz - Seeing my sweet little terminator destroy Molly was something I was happy to see. I've said it before, and I will say it again...no one dishes out ass kickings like Jazz. When she started pushing away Victoria, the crowd was totally into it. They could have a money feud if done correctly.
Booker/Golddust - This is the way a great tag team should end. Who says every team has to end with a heel turn? Sure, they lost, but they kept their friendship. It was a genuinely moving moment and you could tell it was emotional for both of them as well.
Sgt. Slaughter - This match caught the crowd completely by surprise. Slaughter may have looked out of shape, but he bumped like crazy for Richards, even doing his trademark over-the-turbuckle to the floor bump. Crowd was solidly behind the Sarge in this one. Sadly he used the Cobra Clutch finisher instead of the dreaded atomic noogie to the temple, much to the dismay of my brother and I.
The Crowd - DC is usually a pretty dead crowd, but tonight they were excited. They especially loved RVD, Booker, and Batista (because of his DC roots).
There were a few negatives as well:
Test - Ugh. Just ugh. Just give him a carrot to munch on.
Molly's outfit - What gives?
Steiner - He just can't cut it. When you botch an ELBOW DROP as badly as he did, it's time to hang up the tights. After the show went off, he tried to call out HHH as everyone was leaving. This didn't really convince anyone to stay, but it wasn't an issue b/c he never came out.
Maven - He needs a gimmick. Quick. He's got no character in the ring. The crowd turned on him pretty quick.
Golddust and electricity - No one in the arena bought that this was real even for a second. However, if this leads to a Booker title shot somewhere down the road, I'll be more than happy.
It was pretty close to a sell out. Only about 6 sections were blocked off up at the top, so I think it was pretty successful. I had a blast and I hope to get these kinds of tix the next time I go. God, I love pro wrestling. Nothing makes me happier than yelling myself hoarse at the wrestlers I love and hate.

Aren't live shows great!? Sounds like you got some good extra stuff. (I love that!) I suppose O'Haire was just for y'all, & not something that they'll put onto Heat, right?
The O'Haire match was definitely a dark match. I can't say anything about the promo b/c we really couldn't hear it and people around us were yelling to turn the microphone up. But he delivered in the ring!
It's been a long time since I've done one of these. Anyhow, every now and then I browse through Shopzone and find some of the more interesting merch and I feel compelled to bust on them here at the Dub. Today's theme: those damn bears.
