Speaking of bad commentators, whatever happened to Chris Leary?

I think Chris hosts Afterburn or Full Throttle or whatever the hell the 2 syndicated recap shows are.

And Lita gets a notch in the good commentators column because she called Hurricane's Shining Wizard, while JR was still calling it "what a shot!"

Actually, Tajiri was over throughout most of 2001 before he became associated with Torrie. Once he became involved with her, presto, he was dead weight. The only manager/valet that I can think of over the last 15-20 years who has consistently killed the heat of any wrestlers he was around is good ol' Col. Parker/Tennessee Lee. Hell, even Paul Jones was unable to kill Rick Rude's heat.

I refer you to one Harvey Whippleman. He NEVER got anyone over. He is 20 times worse than Torrie and Col. Parker.

Thanks to the exciting non-finish to RR 2K3, I have nothing to write about Spf here. Please go about your business as usual. Thank you.

"tajiri's debut in the wwe was as regal's errand-boy. i don't actually remember him being "cowardly," though; he was more of an enforcer for regal than anything else, if i recall. i remember regal being shocked watching tajiri's first match (against crash holly) as he systematically destroyed crash."

not cowardly? The guy used to crap himself whenever someone like Austin or Angle showed up in Regal's office. Of course, tha was totally at odds with his in-ring persona, which made his character one big mess.

"Here's the thing: I don't give a tupenny f*ck about your moral conundrum, you meatheaded shit-sack. That's pretty much the thing." Daniel Day-Lewis as Bill "The Butcher" Cutting, Gangs Of New York. You'd be surprised at how many statements this can be used as a response to.

I don't know. Ten years later, Harvey's protege/love interest Bertha Faye still was mentioned on the RAW X. But, you are right. Harvey is the worst manager/valet in the Big 2 in the last 20 years.
Personal Listing of the Bottom 5

5) Sir Oliver Humperdink: He was good as a heel manager in Florida. However, the ball was dropped when he was made a face manager for Bam Bam Bigelow, as Bigelow never achieved what most at the time expected for him. Time with the Freebirds was non-descript at best.

4) Paul Jones: Has the Jimmy Valiant vs. Paul Jones Army feud ended yet? Only redeeming quality was the Manny Fernandez/Rick Rude NWA Tag Champ run in late '86-mid '87.

3) Col. Parker: Want to kill the heat of Steve Austin and Arn Anderson in WCW? Put them with the Col.

2) Torrie Wilson: Kills the heat of anything within 50 feet.

1) Harvey Whippleman: True, having Kamala and Giant Gonzales as your stable doesnt really help matters.

I think Tajiri's finest WWE moments have been his heart-to-heart talks with Stone Cold.

Well Mr. Burns had done it.
The power plant had won it.
With Rogers Clemens clucking all the while.
Mike Scioscia's tragic illness made us smile.
While Wade Boggs lay unconscious on
the barroom tile.
We're talkin'...
Softball.
From Maine to San Diego.

Mattingly and Canseco.
Ken Griffey's grotesquely swollen jaw.
Steve Sax and his run-in with the law.
We're talkin' Homer...
Ozzie and the Straw.

I agree that Lita's at least having fun at the announce table, but D'Lo she is NOT. She definitely doesn't have an announcer's voice and she definitely will never recreate the chemistry that Coach and D'Lo had.

What about Al Snow? It's not like HE's doing anything important these days besides hanging with the Tough Enough kids.

Actually, Marc Loyd hosts The Bottom Line, and Josh Matthews hosts Afterburn. There's no such thing as "Full Throttle."

Not that I care or anything, but I was curious as to if Leary got fired.

This thread went a hundred different directions. Lol. I love it.

I'll start with Tajiri, I remember him being monster over right before he hooked up with Torrie. I liked the cowardly Tajiri then shocking everyone by kicking ass when he's mad and in the ring, then going back to his shell. Regal's reaction was great and how he started walking on egg shells not wanting to turn Tajiri's rage on. I remember a houseshow I went around Invasion time he was so amazingly over and I was really happy that we might see a foreign guy actually be a major face... Then all of a sudden and very little reason they put Torrie with him, and really did nothing with it. They kind of touched upon her changing alliances to WWE because she loves Tajiri, but hardly touched it or done a major feud over it. And over time Tajiri just gotten forgotten. Until his real cool 3some deal with NOble & Nidia

Announcers- The Cat is brutal. Jackie had only one opportunity and she wasn't as bad as The Kat. She atleast thought everthing was a 5star match "Johnny the bull vs. Stasiak 5star match coach that's a 5star match baby". The Cat just mumbles stuff and giggles to himself and talks about not taking Josh dancing. Poor Josh he's just a rookie and doing a very good job, but he has to carry this guy.

Lita & Coach are pretty annoying. I think Coach is the worst PBP guy, Lita's voice and skill isn't that great but atleast it sounds like she's trying. I like her a bit more then D'lo who he and Coach tried way to hard to get their tag lines and schtick over instead of anyone in the match... But I did feel like giving Lita a slap last night after showing the Trish attack from Raw she came back kind of giggling and saying "Oh man the look on her face was this is something I don't need". She pretty much undermined it. Yeah Lita it's called putting your opponent over. You should have tried it some time when you wrestled, your opponents and angles might have actually gotten over. Eahh she just rubs me the wrong way

Dude, I know you're only trying to make the point that The Cat is a bad announcer, but there's NO WAY he's worse than Jacqueline.
The extent of her ability was saying, "OOH! MAIN! GREAT MATCH! OOH MAIN!"

I still wouldn't be surprised if HHH is the final draft pick on SmackDown. Even *he* would probably admit that with Cena, Michaels, Batista and Angle (and on the second tier, Christian, Edge, Benjamin, Jericho and Kane)
