Futurama is a hell of a great show and it deserved better treatment by Fox. But you already know that. Due to preemptings I don't know anyone (including myself) who'd seen over 14 episodes. With Adult Swim this will soon change.
Home Movies is GREAT. I'm glad the team who makes it is still in the groove after Dr. Katz (who SHOULD show up someday) Coach McGuirk is one of my favourite characters EVER. ("I'm not gonna leave you here, Brendan. Because if I do, I'm gonna get fired. Then I'll end up doing something stupid and going back to jail.")
Inu Yasha rules, it's a shame I hear it's being rotated out for Reign. YuYu should go, it's been played through like 3 times and IY is on its first.
I still think Bebop is gonna run itself to death 4 times a week, but FYI if you didn't already know the movie's release date is now April 4th.

Much like the majestic ostrich, I spend a great deal of time with my head in the sand, so I have to ask what might be a dumb question. Is this thought about HR just your hopes for what you'd like to see happen one day, or is this actually a rumor/plan that is out there?
Torchslasher foiled me this time, but I shall get him next time!*maniacal laughter*
How to explain Home Star Runner, well I can't really, so just go to the website and prepare to be entertained. Anyway if you've ever seen the classic webtoons of Joe Cartoon, Killfrog, Bogbeast, Jay Donaldson, Ice Box or even Shockwave, this is better than ALL of them.

Vile...I personally already know and love Homestar. I was wondering if there was any news reports or rumors that might back up the idea of HR going from the web to Cartoon Network.

The Brothers Chap have openly discussed a possible cartoon series, but it's pretty much been in terms of "wouldn't it be neat if someday we..." There aren't currently any plans to make a Homestar cartoon series, unless it's something that I don't know about...
RAW Satire 1/27 Buffy 7.12 gets a 7.0 There was a lot of good stuff mixed in with some of that mediocre dialog.
. . .there's no love out there for Lupin 3rd? Ouch. I guess I must be the only one watching it then.
Much as I like the 4 per week run they have GOT to do something about Sundays. Aqua Teens, Sealab, and the rest deserve better than being wedged betwene the shit sandwich of "Oblongs" and "Ripping Friends."

Lupin is great. What's even better is that Tokyopop is re-releasing the original Monkey Punch stories as TPBs.
I even rewatched my OLD copy of Castle/Cagliostro yesterday. The funny thing about that is,in the dub, they call him "Wolf."

Lupin is one of my favourite shows, and it's sad to see a lot of people don't look past its art style. The manga is supposedly much better.
I defy any of you to come up with a better pen name than "Monkey Punch".
Ripping Friends and Oblongs grate on the nerves after repeated showings. Neither has large enough runs to still be around which is why I wish they'd gotten Undergrads or the Tick.

Is Ripping Friends supposed to be funny? Am I missing something? Or have I just completely lost my sense of humour?
The Oblongs is not exactly my favourite, but occasionally there's something funny in it, & I can have it on TV in the background while I type on Wienerboard. (Deja vu.)
Now The Tick -- that may be my favourite cartoon since Rocky & Bullwinkle ...
Freakazoid would be perfect for adult swim. Cartoon Network frequently airs all 26 episodes, but the problem is that they only do it at a ridiculous hour like 5 AM. C'mon Cartoon Network , give the best cartoon of all time a prime time or adult swim spot! DO IT NOW!

The dubbing on Lupin is a bit off in places (shows from the late 70's should NOT be referencing Reggie Miller, for instance), but the series is an absolute joy to watch nonetheless.
The "Wolf" thing was due to legal arguments over the Lupin name. The inspiration for Lupin the 3rd (Arsene Lupin III) was the original Arsene Lupin, another gentleman-thief character whose tales were from the early part of the 20th Century. Japan did not enforce trade copyrights at that point, so Monkey Punch borrowed the name and established his Lupin as the grandson of the original, but the estate of its creator (Maurice LeBlanc) was not amused and complained.
A few US releases were affected. Streamline dubbed Lupin into "The Wolf" for Cagliostro (playing on Lupin <-> lupine and Lupin's overactive libido), while AnimEigo used a literal translation of the Japanese characters in his name and went with "Rupan" for Fuma and Babylon. Later negotiations have apparently been more successful.

Are they at least going to play all the episodes of Inu Yasha before they take it off? This is my favoite anime since StarBlazers. And I agree about YuYu. I wish they'd take that off and put Gundam back on.
And when was Lupin made? Based on the animation I would have thought I was watching speed racer or something, if it wasn't for Fujiko's rediculously huge guns. But the shows pretty funny.

The series being shown is the second Lupin TV series, from 1977.

I have been thrown off by the too-contemporary references on Lupin.
For example, in the episode featuring the President, it looks like Jimmy Carter, but sounds like Bill Clinton.

I don't think they can show ALL the episodes of Inuyasha before it gets rotated out. It's still going on in Japan and may in fact be in the 100s or so. I'd keep it, since its one of the few of the newer Action block shows to have a strong following. Yu Yu Hakusho could use a rest, as could Bebop. I love Bebop and always will but it's been an AS stalwart since the block started and could use some time off. Lupin 3rd will ably cover the "lighthearted action/adventure romp" void left by "Bebop."
Reign I'm dreading. The advance artwork I've seen looks terrible and "From the makers of Aeon Flux" isn't exactly a come-on.

Undergrads is on at 1:30 a.m. EST Monday morning (Late Sunday night) on Comedy Central. They seem to have brought back their late night animation block (although it might have been there all along, I don't know). They also air Dilbert, Clerks, Gary & Mike, The Critic, and Duckman.

My problem is that I only have so many programmable slots on my VCR and watching late TV (as in after 11PM) gets me bitched at. I don't have the slot to record Undergrads and my grandfather actually pulled the plug on the TV one minute before the end of the episode Sunday Night. BTW you posting is one of the signs of Armageddon is it not?
Mission Hill, Cowboy Bebop, and Oblongs have all run through their limited runs enough to justify somebench time. YuYu has done the same except they DO have new dubbed episodes, just maybe not enough to justify nightly airings. At least we're all happy Baby Blues is gone for the moment right?

Looks like the rest of the site is an advertisement for Universal Studios, but I got several minutes of entertainment out of this. Bad Day At Work? P.S. You need Flash. Edit: Missed my closing quote on the Url...
