I expect a score of about 15-13..probably for the N-Americans. I like the East vs West better too, but I guess they can market this format to the rest of the world easier. Obviously it doesn't compare to the Olympics..
Great to see Mike York replacing Eric Lindros..good to see him get some recognition.
"...And I use that to f*ck them some place fairly uncomfortable." "What, like the back of a volkswagen ?" -Mallrats
However, w/ the World vs N.A, we can see some East and West conference guys playing together as opposed to playing seperately because they play in different conferences.
I'm kinda pumped up for the Young Stars game though. Barry Melrose returns to coaching duties....and in L.A!
man 13-7!!!! That Young Stars game was insanse!!!!
And might I mention the TOTAL SNUBBING that Jericho got by EVERYONE!!! I wacthed a bit of stuff on the NHL Network, they 'mentioned' him as being 'the crowd favorite' and showing him put someone in a headlock and remove his helmet (then skate around the ice celebrating with it but CBC mad NO MENTION OF HIM!!!! SHAME!!!!
And we don't get E! either....grrr... (Maybe it'll be on STAR they show a lot fo E programming.)
Shit! I missed the YoungStars game! 13 to 7?! Anyone know where I can get the boxscore for it?! I want to know who scored most of those goals and which netminder was totally shelled!
...Some fear the Pink... ...But many fear....THE MOUNTIE! (He's handsome, he's brave, and he's strong, you know)
Damn, I forgot all about the Celebrity Game on E! Eh, maybe next year.
The YoungStars game was really good, 6 goals by Kovalchuk. Comrie (Edmonton) had a hat trick and what a SWEET toe drag for his second goal. Unreal. Roberto Luongo won the game for Melrose's team, eventhough Jim Fox's guys seemed a little lost as to who was going to take charge and actually finish the plays instead of taking shots at the last moment. I'll be watching this game over and over.
I've got everything else on tape and may I add that the skills competition was rather dull. Jeremy Roenick gets on my nerves rather quickly.
Well according to NHL.com he got one goal to make it 10-8 at that point (final being 11-10 for Jericho's team), Jericho had some fun with some 'physical play' and there was an altercation between Goldberg and Jericho. It'll be interesting to see how much they show on RAW (if they show any.)
http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/news/story?id=2251559 The initial report on ESPN.com stated that Lemieux was going to be kept overnight for observation and obviously there'll be no immediate word on his playing future without a full diagnosis.
