Things were running so smoothly for the Sacramento Kings, but now there might be some bumps in the road with Chris Webber's sprained ankle and Scott Pollard's broken hand. I'm hoping the Kings will be able to survive the loss of Webber for a while. I'm sure they can. Pollard's been out most of the season, so they can definitely deal without him. I think that the Kings will continue to have people come off the bench of produce as they have all year. Is there any team that has a decent chance of stopping Sacramento?

Well, they looked fine against the Sonics but big deal...I think the real question is, can they catch Dallas?

ESPN has the Kings/Lakers game tonight and that help answer your question. (Watch Hedo, I'm thinking.)

Not if the Mavs' stars stay healthy, but a healthy Sacramento will (errrr...make that should) beat the Mavericks in a seven game series (and I live in Dallas and watch the lion's share of the Mavericks' games). And, the injuries might cause the Kings to lose a couple of more regular season games than they would otherwise, but it won't kill them.

The Kings did very well last year without Webber in the first couple of months of the season. They're deep enough to make up for his loss. As for catching Dallas, it's possible for them to do that since the Mavs have cooled off as of late and even when they were hot they let big games slip away from them (see Lakers, Spurs, Kings). I still see Sacramento taking the #1 seed from the Mavs just before the playoffs start.

I think the Queens will be just fine. They always have been plagued by injuries and have always fought through them. Their style of play along with their talent level and depth make them an always formidable foe. Dallas on the other hand while being a very strong team, you have to wonder how they will do in the more physical playoffs. My problem with Sac is always Webber though. He seem to be the star of the team yet you rarely see him step up to take the big shot. Plus why does he rely on his jumper so much late in games when he should be down low wearing it out. I mean i remember him manhandling my Heels in 93 and iknow he has only gained skill since then

If someone gets urinated upon do they get pissed off or pissed on?

Actually, they probably would be better off at 2 than at 1. If L.A. is the 8 seed, it would mean Sacramento at 2 can avoid a possibility of facing them until the conference finals, rather than in a Best of 5 where a Game 1 loss would be the death knell. And if Utah or Portland somehow finishes ahead of San Antonio for the 3 seed, Sacramento at 2 can coast into the Conference Finals while Dallas or LA survivor would have to go through San Antonio in round 2.

That's an idea. Then again, so was the Edsel.

... should punch Doug Christie in the motherfucking face. And then punch Adelman for leaving Christie in WAY past his expiration date. The refs beat the Kings in Game 6, but they beat themselves tonight.
