I'm a happy girl -- I'm among the "my guys won!" celebrants.

Well, we always pretend that Smackdown is live. But where in fact was Bill?? They wouldn't keep him away from this just for kayfabe. (We could always say that he caught the corporate jet to NYC after his match.) That was the weirdness of the night for me.

Actually, I was half expecting Bob Holly to come out & congratulate Matt after he won ...

John is definitely going to be tres cool. He's got really slick moves that they didn't even begin to show us in the editing, & is absolutely not going to fall apart in front of an audience. That'll be fun to watch.

The only question is which plotlines do they get plugged into? Oh, & are they in fact going to Raw with Al & the rest of the TE-ers? Bill is on Smackdown, after all -- he could be there to play mother-hen ...

Either Eric or Jamie could well resurface in the minors. Jamie might actually make it back up to the WWE someday, if she really wants to. And Eric might develop a personality with time -- that happens. I really just don't get the feeling that Jonah would go to the trouble -- he'll go back to his girlfriend in Boston, & that will be that.

Ohhh, an upsurge of Ivory fans ...

OK, I missed that update. (And I do want to be Ivory when I grow up.)

I always thought that Ivory was the hottest Diva in the WWE. She didn't show her body too much because she would not do bra and panties matches (good for her). But in a B&P match, I would love to see her lose! She is the hottests woman in the WWE.

So I jump ship in Hong Kong and make my way over to Tibet, and I get on as a looper at a course over in the Himalayas. A looper, you know, a caddy, a looper, a jock. So, I tell them I'm a pro jock, and who do you think they give me? The Dalai Lama, himself. Twelfth son of the Lama. The flowing robes, the grace, bald... striking. So, I'm on the first tee with him. I give him the driver. He hauls off and whacks one---big hitter, the Lama---long, into a ten-thousand foot crevasse, right at the base of this glacier. Do you know what the Lama says? Gunga galunga... gunga, gunga-galunga. So we finish the eighteenth and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, "Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know." And he says, "Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consiousness." So I got that goin' for me, which is nice.

I think you could give developmental contracts to all 5 of the kids, and they'd get their money's worth developing these kids.

Matt and John were very rare... they just had 'it' all around. Jonah has all the personality in the world, and just needs to tighten up his ringwork. Jamie earned my respect, towards the end. And Eric has an amazing look. All of these kids were great.

My fingers are crossed that all of them will make it happen for themselves(and I predict Eric will be the NWA guy...).

In the grand scheme of things, they gave the contracts to the same two I would have, but the wind went completely out of my sails when they cut Jamie anyway. I really hope she winds up on WWE TV eventually. (And I don't care what anyone says - she's better looking than any of those cookie-cutter Barbie dolls with big plastic tits the WWE likes to tell us are attractive.)

Nobody has yet mentioned the most important development - the shocking revelation that Scott Enough is the Fourth New Horseman. Since he's the first one to actually flash the symbol, I guess he's the leader. Or maybe he'll be the enforcer, using his deadly martial arts blitz attack that almost killed Al Snow.

I felt bad for Jamie Nuff getting the audience cut, too. The whole audience poll seemed kind of unnecessary, they didn't really need to toss somebody out that early and have it come off as "people don't like you." I thought the way Snow actually did it, too (standing in front Eric for a bit, then walking back over to Jamie before suddenly turning back around and saying "Eric, sit down!") was a bit odd. The whole segment kind of put everybody, Snow included, in an awkward spot.

I agree that the right people won, Matt Enough and John Enough were the two I wanted to see win. I don't know what's up with John's new Wolverine-esque hair, but I had no idea they were actually holding back on showing us the things he was doing. That shooting star press into a leg drop was wild...and then the one they showed after that, the shooting star into a...whatever the hell it was? Holy crap. I was hoping his acceptance speech would be telling JR off and then doing a La Parka Twisting Body Attack through a table off the stage. And Bob Holly should have attacked Matt.

That clip they showed of Eric asking Jonah about the "dudes" and Jonah admitting that he says "kid" way too much - awesome. I wonder if they told Eric to show his annoyance at losing as a play on Kenny and Jake from last year, maybe if he makes it Nowinski-style. As everyone else has said, I wouldn't be surprised to see Eric, Jonah or Jamie get jobs. It's a pretty similar situation to the first season where they had five people who had a good shot at making it and four of them ended up working for them in some capacity (and Taylor should have, too).

It's pretty cool how this season ended up pulling together into a good show after a shakey start and the mess of last season.

Man, talking about milking your audience. They could have easily fit that show into 30 minutes. In fact, they should have stuck with the "half hour last episode / half hour live winners announcement" format. That way, they could have worked some of the flashbacks into the first half hour, followed by each person's profile in the last half.
And that was absolutely the last season for them. JR's little thank-you speech at the beginning was their farewell.

The WWE could put on 2 hours of Kevin Kelly sitting on the toilet reading a phone book, and I'd still watch next week.

Nidia needed to spit that fucking gum out of her mouth. Show some class when you're on a broadcast being watched by millions. And don't give me that "she was in character" bullshit either.

John was great and my girlfriend vowed to become a wrestling fan after Matt won. But any of those guys would have been good picks. They all seemed very confident in the ring, I saw them doing moves (Jonah did a Northern Lights suplex??) that I've NEVER seen kids from the other shows pull off.

Jonah was class act in losing. I doubt this is the last we've seen of him.

Why does JR seem to dislike Ivory so much? The only thing I ever hear him say about her is that he finds her annoying, but I didn't get that impression from the (albeit edited) TE footage?

Ya know, the thing about John is, I've watched every single episode of TE 3 and I wasn't even sure what the hell his name was until last night. He just seemed to be there, never really doing anything. The SSP was impressive, but other than that, I have no clue of whether or not he was really that great of a choice. Personally, I was rooting for Matt and Jonah and kinda looking forward to them forming a tag team sometime down the road.

I think, more than anything, it's just a running joke. Any time that ANYBODY brings her up in an interview that I've read, they say that she talks too much. Plus, if you saw Wrestlemania All Day, you know that she can go a little overboard with the pep.

I don't think it's anything personal.

One of the coolest parts of the show was the opening promo about "What is life without a dream?" The part that said "...the superstars of today...and the Gods of my youth..." was awesome with images of Hogan and the Warrior.

Bah, I say! Sure, she was a bit whinier than the others (and towards the end, all but John and Eric got their whine on, a lot), but she showed some serious improvement with the ring skills, and I was impressed by her determination. And "fugly"? Surely you jest. She's no Ivory, true, but I'll take Jamie over Torrie, Dawn Marie, or (prepares for the onslaught of NHS) Trish any time. :)

More comments:

I now know why Matt got the contract -- didja see how many times he got racked in the nads? Pool balls, shots, etc. Damn!

Taylor -- ubercutie. I know she's been in Japan, but that only helps her as a wrestler, and I hope she gets hired by the WWE. She's got the same natural beauty (imo) as Nora does. You could *actually* have a tag-team based on prudeness.

John's reaction -- priceless -- but I guarantee you'll see him debut on SmackDown, because I would think that his workrate eclipses some of the RAW wrestlers already.
