I missed Smackdown, but I doubt they said anything anyways. Are they doing 2 minutes, 1 and a half, or 1 minute with the entrances? Looks as if they are going with 1 with the two world title matches, but who the hell knows with them.
Hal: So, Dewey, I'm thinking our little Lego community needs a school. Dewey: Don't need it. Everyone's born smart. Hal: Aww, that's beautiful, son. It's a utopia. Dewey: And anyone stupid will be ground up for food. Hal: Oh. A cannibal utopia. Interesting.
It'll be two minutes - bet on it. They said 60 seconds last year, and it was still two minutes.
Look, they've only got five other matches - one of which is Torrie and Dawn Marie which'll go, what, five minutes? Six? Not nearly as long as it's entrance video. Even alloting a half hour each for the world title matches - and I don't think either will last that long (esp. HHH/BPP), what's left besides the Rumble? Dudleyz and Unamericans - ten minutes or so... Brock and Big Show, maybe *maybe* another ten. That's one hour and twenty minutes - meaning, if they did a half-hour Royal Rumble, the PPV would end at about 10:00.
I hope it's two minutes. Even if the Rumble is lacking some star power, the whole concept is a good time no matter who's involved. The fact that Jericho is in there right from the beginning is a real good sign.
God, I hope fuelinjected is wrong. 96 was godawful, what with the 60 second entrances, and the fact it took some of the guys 20 seconds to get down to the ring. It reminded me of the grammys with the music cueing up so damn much. On a side note, if they are planning to do a long rumble, and have Jericho win (Yeah i'm on heavy acid); bring "The Brain" back in for color!
They say it'll be 60 seconds, but they also keep calling the Rumble "the most exciting hour in the WWE all year" or whatever, which would imply two minute intervals. They're not going an hour with 60 second intervals. I hope it's two minutes, but it'll probably be one minute and then they'll try to pretend afterwards that a 38 minute match was an hour long.

I don't mind the fact that the other first guy in there is Michaels either.
I think they've done a great job building this up so far. I don't think that the enterances will be paced any particular way until it's fleshed out a bit better. It's easy to SAY 60 seconds, but I'm sure when they look down the lineup and figure out stuff like order of entry and order of elimination, I'm sure they'll figure out some sort of hybrid time for it.
Also with 2 open slots (the mystery slot for Smackdown which seems to point to Undertaker, and B-2's slot if, as seen on Smackdown, he is "unable to compete"), which they have to figure out how to fill.
So with those things, I'd expect the intervals to be somewhat bigger than the announced 60 seconds, but I don't think they'll be up to two minutes, myself. 90 seconds maybe?
RAW Satire 1/14 Buffy 7.1 gets a 8.887 More and More good stuff this season...
On both Velocity and Smakdown, they've refered o the Royal Rumble as "the most exciting 60 minutes in Sports Entertainment". So far, the only time I've heard that they've said anything about 1 minute intervals was on Afterburn last week. Besides, there's only five matches including the Rumble. Might as well make it a whole hour...
I seem to remember it being 1:30 last year, and HHH's "look, I'm a video game character" entrance with the big laser show took at LEAST two minutes, if not more. They certainly don't keep a steady time throughout.

Yea KaneRobot said it - they NEVER stick to time. Watch any Rumble and keep the time between wrestlers - they just send them out there "around" the actual time. Sometimes it'll be 1:30, sometimes 1:52, sometimes 1:08. Whatever fits with the flow of the match. I still think they'll pull through and make it entertaining. In the end itll be somewhere around 45 min, probly a little more. As long as you don't look at the clock and say "THEY LIED, ITS NOT AN HOUR!!", you'll enjoy it.
