The Federation is releasing Kaz Hayashi, per his request,
so he can return to Japan to compete and be with family.
Kaz is always welcome back here, as he is a very
promising cruiserweight.
----
Damnit..and he was one of the best they had (left) I believe?
"...And I use that to f*ck them some place fairly uncomfortable." "What, like the back of a volkswagen ?" -Mallrats
Atleast they didn't FIRE him, as that would really piss me off. Good luck Kaz...
"Kent Brockman here once again at The Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, where a complete evacuation has taken place. Details are sketchy at best, so we've taken what little information we have, added our own theories, and concluded that whatever the likely disaster, it's most likely the work of our former president Richard M Nixon, even though he is rumored dead." -Kent Brockman
At least it wasn't the WWF releasing him outright, ala Elix Skipper.
Matthew: You would've loved it, David. A week in a foreign country, strange people, strange customs... Dave: Oh, I know what you mean. I've been to Canada.
On one level.... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
Kaz was one of my favorite workers in WCW, I was a fan of his since he debuted. Out of all the Asian guys, I always thought he had the right "look" for the big time and it didn't hurt that he was a kick ass wrestler to boot.
But on another level... damn I'm a softy..
It's good that Kaz is doing what he feels like he needs to, which is to return to Japan to be with his family and compete there.
Here's hoping one day he returns state side... or that I can find some good Kaz tapes
Nothing is better than X-pac! It's all in the inflection...
Yeah Kaz was pretty good, I'll miss the guy (even more than I already have since he hasn't been on tv) but he's no Mike Sanders or Jamie "BY GOD" Knoble.
So the WWF said Kaz wanted to go back to Japan to compete?
I saw this on the Mighty Observer site: "Kaz Hayashi will be working the NWA Wildside TV tapings on Saturday night in Cornelia, GA which is headlined by A.J. Styles vs. Adam Jacobs"
When did Cornelia, GA become a part of Japan? Come on WWF, if you don't give damn about the cruisers, just come out and say it. Don't give us some crappy excuses why you are releasing them.
January 4th 1999 - The day WCW injected itself with 10 gallons of Liquid Anthrax...AKA...The day Hogan "Defeated" Nash to win the WCW title in front of 40,000.
His NWA appearance could be contractually obligated. Although I would assume that he would only have HWA or OVW spots to finish up before he went back to Japan. I guess if he continues to show up on various American indy shows, then we can get suspicious, but until then....
Hey, I got Direct TV Monday so I traded random CMLL on On-Demand for 3 hours of AAA a week on Galavision. So here ya go. I haven't watched AAA in years but not because I didn't want to.
