The sentence comes to an end begining tonight. Eight new episodes. Who's going down? I always thought the show would end with either Schillinger, Saed or Beecher being killed. We shall see.

There was a thread about this a little while ago in which someone came up with what I thought is the most probably ending scenario - Beecher finally snaps and kills Schillinger just before he's due to get paroled, and ends up getting life in Oz. Kind of the "Boyz in tha Hood" ending. Or the "Twilight Zone" ending, come to think of it.

***MOTHERFUCKING SPOILER***

Jesus Christ, was the cum-spit scene really necessary? I mean, damn, fuck a guy in the ass, sure, but that's a little more than I need to see.

Well, it's getting hard to feel sorry for Beecher anymore. HIs whole family has been destroyed and killed by those in Oz and yet it seems like he keeps putting them in bad spots.
Peter Schibetta vs Ryan O'Riley was one that I didn't see coming and I'm having a bad feeling about his chances. Although it should be a good feud. Saed is yet to get into anything and next week it looks like Robson is going to have to pay the piper.

Right now I don't have a problem with Kirk being the devil unless they go over the top like Cloutier.

If you haven't seen the episode, there be spoilers here...

Something tells me Schibetta vs. O'Reilly is going to finally get Ryan his comeuppance, which sucks, because much like Homer Simpson I was rooting for a "No comeuppance!" ending for Ryan...

Beecher has been played out since season 3 for me, mainly because it seems like every season he gets a family member killed, which to me is lazy story telling. Its like they cant think of better ways for Schillinger to get revenge anymore...

Fontana said this season is about redemption for a lot of the long running characters, so something tells me the Kirk plot will be taking a front seat for a bit, which is cool cuz that dude is creepy. And I wouldn't be surprised if Jericho the sock puppet ends up being a part of it; that voice was pretty Satanic in itself. The faux molestation charges on Mukada were a nice touch.

I definitely dig the dead coming back for the monologues this season, thats a nice touch. I read that Luke Perry is supposed to be one of them, so hopefully they'll finally explain where he disappeared to.

They really went for some gross outs this episode didn't they; what with the Schillinger cumshot, Omar puking all over Howells shoes, and the shit running down Father Meehans legs when he had his embolism...

Does the sock puppet end up costing Cyril his chances of getting off on a mentally incompetant charge, as it displays his pre-head injury persona?
I thought the priest was going to get whacked for his role in Hamlet, not the 'evil eye' at work.
For a show that has a couple of whackings a week, it does seem pretty hard to see so many people torn up over Augustus' death 6 months later.
Anyone else waiting for the Adabeeze as storyteller episode?

I have to say, that opening was very cool. I was all "Damnit" when Augustus gave us an update on his life status, but then he's all "I ain't goin nowhere, baby" so it was all good.

I thought the Kirk allegations made sense in context and all, but that it was a stupid idea for a storyline. I dunno, maybe not stupid, but just something I could have done without.

On another ripped from the headlines type story, the ending sequence with Devlin being all but hung for making comments supporting another politician with a racist background stinks of the Lott/Thurmond mess, but the episode had to have been taped months before the actual event occured. Kinda eerie.

I really hope Captain Assrape doesn't get the honor of offing Ryan, because he really doesn't deserve it. We got another shot in this episode of Ryan next to Chris Keller- what an awesome twosome those guys are.

I really hope they kill off Claire Howell by the time they're done. As for the other dead, LEAVE LUKE PERRY THERE. That was so stupid, I don't even want to know what happened to him. Adebisi = good, though. Bringing back Keane as the first guest narrator was a good choice. I hear Leon can sing a little.

I'd like to see Beecher get paroled before the final episode. Then, the final scene can be Schillinger getting a letter from him with a picture inside. The picture would be of Beecher next to Schillinger's grandchild. Schillinger screams and roll credits.

Thank God for the first season having been out on DVD, or else I would not have known about Leon as Keane. Ditto for the Shibetta anger towards O'Reilly.
Kirk really needs to die at the hands of the tattooed guy in Death Row (Jazz?). Speaking of which, Death Row suddenly seems like the place to be. All the cool characters are there.
Beecher needs to be paroled, NOW. Let him visit Keller on conjugal visit day or something, but enough is enough with him. And I agree that adding his dad seemed like an afterthought.
Overall, it was a good episode and next week's return of Robson should make for an even better show.

I have faith in Ryan. Just when you think he's about done you find out he was two steps ahead of the other guy all along.

I would love to see Adabisi back for a show, even as narrarator. He was the biggest kill on the show and it's never fully recovered since he died.

Well, it looks like Vince Russo got ahold of all those potential season-long feuds. Shibetta AND Kirk in the same episode? Kirk going was cool (and who doesn't love Hoyt? I was hoping he'd whip out the legendary dingus again though), and really mostly helped to further Mukada's character, but what was the point of offing Shibetta? I thought that character had a lot left in him.

Beecher vs. Shillinger keeps on going though. This is the big one everyone's wondering what they'll do with.

Redding is stupid now. That whole maze thing is stupid.

My favorite character Alvarez is a no-brainer though. He'll find a way to fuck up and get stuck in solitary for life, no matter how hard he tries. Hopefully it'll be a nice contrast to a happy Beecher ending though. I think Robson gettin "spooned" is just the beginning of last-season blowoffs in favor of the "bad guys finally get their's" last season.

Nope. Beecher is NOT getting out of there. That's just too neat an ending for this truly misanthropic little show. While I admit I am so suckered in that I will be angry if/when Beecher gets the one last screwing over, I just cannot believe they would do that.

As for Schibetta and Kirk, I think they're slowly weeding away a lot of the smaller subplots so that at the very end the focus will be on the biggest characters and their giant arcs. The Ryan/Cyril situation, Schillinger/Beecher/Keller and their giant triangle, the constant crisis of faith for Sister Pete and Fr. Ray...the little plots are slowly being resolved, a couple of corpses at a time.

Shibetta was out of Ryan's league anyway. The death row photo shoot was a dumb idea but a good way to get rid of Kirk.

-I still see Saed doing something big.
-I like the idea of Beecher killing Schillinger and getting life.
-Moralas looks like he's fucked.

So we've had Keenes and Shirly Bellinger who's left? I'm thinking...

Oddly enough about the photo shoot... they said it was for an issue of Maxim. The one that I got in the mail today has that same photo shoot (minus dead kirk). Good planning. And yes, Shibetta was WAY out of Ryan's league. The whole thing with the evil eye was lame anyway. It will be interesting to see what they do with Hoyt. It seems like it's going in a "Fallen" sort of direction where the devil will now enter him after he killed Kirk. And what's with Ribideau and that ugly ass librarian? They're gonna get it on whether she wants to or not... Overall, awesome two first episodes that eliminated a lot of bullshit side plots. I'm hoping, as the rest of you are, that this makes room for a kick ass finale.

The show seemed a little rushed this week, but with only 8 episodes I guess it has to. The Schibetta storyline seemed to have at least one more week left in it, and the photo shoot just seemed to suspend way to much reality. Then again, Beecher gets told his parole hearing is indefinately on hold to getting parole within five minutes, so who knows. I'm getting the feeling it won't be Schillinger that prevents Beecher from getting out of OZ, but it will be Keller. The Robson angle really could have hit the rock bottom point if he had to be a bitch for the blacks for survival, but a biker babe is a low place to go from Schillinger's #2 man. Almost like they will make him the reverse Beecher.

With 6 episodes left, my calls for "Dead guest narrators" are (not necessarily in that order):

Nino Shibetta
Clayton Hughes
Scott Ross
Simon Adabisi
Hamid Khan
Raoul Hernandez
Donald Groves
Kenny Wangler

I know that's two too many, but I can't see them leaving out any of these guys. I guess Groves and Hernandez are the most to get the shaft.

The only real and true ending to this show is this:

Double prison wedding: Rebadow and the librarian (her explanation for coming to Oz was awful by the way) and the other old guy and Norma. Howell and Martinez are the best man and maid of honor.

I figured Scott Ross and Hernadez were the most likely to be left out, but your right Ross might make it leaving Groves out.

I'm also curious to where they are going with the air poisoning thing they're doing with solitary.

I think they just used the air poisoning thing as an excuse to get the folks in solitary back out there. Although the show needs a blowoff "Said vs. the Prison System" storyline, so maybe that's the start of it.

Does anyone else think that:

a) Redding has something up his sleeve with the telemarketing business and

b) Governor Devlin is somehow going to end up in Oz before the show's over?
