Since its possible the unthinkable might happen this week and Bischoff will be given the book; or something resembling the book, lets look at some of the better and poorer decisions made when he was in charge of wrestling companies.
The Good: Importation of cruiserweights, and providing adequate ring time for them(unfortunately, the cruisers are on the other WWF/E show). Devlopment of Nitro as 1 hour challenge to RAW, and the eventual extension of the show to 2 hours. The NWO angle.
The Bad: Team Challenge Series. Dungeon of Doom. Blood Runs Cold. No Blood Rule. Disney Tapings. Extension of Nitro to 3 hours, and then putting developing Thunder a few months later, thus expanding the TV time from a manageable 2 hours to 5 hours in less than six months. Allowing wrestlers to not work Thunder because they deemed it below them. Easily swayed by those who can politically manuever him. NWO Tonight Show. Dennis Rodman, Reggie White, Jay Leno, and Karl Malone getting heavily promoted for PPV's, while the rest of the roster was ignored. Destroying the tag team division because he didn't know how to book it. Grandmaster Urinates and the No Limit Soldiers being brought in and pushed.
Although Eric did some good things in power, remember the really bad things he did before hoping he regains power yet again. Especially the last items listed.

Of all the things you put on the bad list, I honestly have to say that the "allowing wrestlers not to work Thunder because they deemed it below them" is the one that irked me the most.
Let us try and remember that he went practically unchecked back then. Rest assured that Vince wouldn't let half of those goings-ons take place despite what other "bad" decisions we might think he makes.
Treasure Planet ruled all kinds of ass. And yes, I do work for Disney but its good anyhoo.
I think Vince launching two completely unsuccessful brand new COMPANIES off the sweat of his WRESTLERS and then going right out of business both times averages him out with the Bisch. Keep in mind Vince is also sports-entertainment's biggest thief and made his big money on other ppl's notions.
I also think that the involvement of the celebs was a good thing. I love celebrity involvement mixed with wrestling. I'd love to see Brock F-5 Carson Daly. It gets a hook on ET and it makes my day otherwise. If they really want to get Brock over they should parade in third-rate celebs every week for 2 months and let Brock F-5 all of them. Then do a threesome angle with Dawn, Al Wilson, and Strom Thurman.
"If there are no monkeys in the House of Commons, how come you never see a banana outside of it? I've been to Ottawa dozens of times, and I've never seen a banana anywhere near the Parliament buildings. Clearly, that's because there are monkeys inside."
Eric is working for Vince so I think that gives Vince the one up on The Bisch. And everyone steals from everyone in wrestling. You could say Vince stole Heyman's concepts but Vince made money with them, Heyman didn't.
Well i'm no business major or anything so I could be wrong, but i bet if you took any kind of business manager and listed the things they did right and the things they did wrong that the wrongs would always outweight the rights. That's just how business works, you try different things to get on top and they might not all work out.
After all, on your good list is the fact that he made the WCW a real competitor to Raw, that's more than anybody else has been able to do. And that really by itself makes up for all the bad things, sure if there was never a Bischoff then there's none of that bad stuff, but without him WCW is never a challenge and probably closes even sooner.
Yeah they eventually shut down, but he got them on top for a while and that makes him #2 after Vince himself. Nothing wrong with being #2. I bet the basketball player who is considered second best of all time doesn't mind being number 2 behind Michael Jordan.
I'm not taking away anything from Bischoff for getting WCW to pass Vince in the mid 90's (although Vince going with his Big Man Fetish helped [Nash, Sid, Mable, Taker, even Dingbat}, hmm, sounds familiar) All I was doing was reminding everyone that alot of the decisions Bischoff made, well, sucked. The person who I'd actually like to see who ran WCW come back is good ol' K. Allen Frye. Sure, he knew nothing about the business, except one important thing: offer the mercenaries bonus money, and they will perform. I mean, take his idea for bonus for best match of the night, and you will see even the laziest of wrestlers working hard to make some extra money. Put that incentive in for random house shows, TV, and PPV and guys will bust it every night in the hopes of getting the bonus.

I think offering bonus money is a good idea. I'd even go as far as to have Smackdown and Raw compete against each other where the show that was believed to be better gets some kind of bonus. Of course that means more money for a lot of people, but if it helsp the company succeed then it's worth it.
WHAT WORKED: TKG: Seemed weird to me to have Animal work face in peril but damn I really dug him in the opening match. Nitro really good at eating clotheslines. I don't remember Joey Mathews having those kicks before.
