Just bring it. Jeff Garcia is nothing. You think he can run? Have you seen a fellow named Mike Vick? Yeah, he could do nothing against the Bucs. The number one pass defense in the league (not to mention number one overall in both yardage and points allowed) will be there ready to play.

Brad Johnson will be back against an underachieving defense. The forecast doesn't look too good for San Francisco.

Oh, there's a Niners fan here? Poor, misguided soul. I thought it was something important. Wake me up when he's crying next Sunday.

Thanks.

"Jeff Garcia is nothing."

Oh, Bucsfan, you are probably right. The Bucs defense will probably do a number on the 49ers.

But I hope against hope you are wrong. Next week I want to pop those words of yours into the microwave and make you EAT them. Yummy.

The same rule that applied to Brett and Mike applies to Jeff... He'll be lucky to make it out of the Pirate Ship alive, let alone with a win.

Yeah, and as for that lad McNabb, your boys never gave him a look in when you went a wandering to Vet....

Tampa fans should be praying Vick has the game of his life on Saturday, else the Iggles will send the Bucs home for the third year running.

On a side note, from a pure excitement point of view that was one of the best games I've seen in years, even if it does upset me hugely to see the Giants and Shockey choking on nayional TV.:)

shhhhhh

And yes, for one weekend, I am Mike Vick's biggest fan. However, the Bucs will still win even if they get past San Fran (HA! If?) and have to go to Philly.

God...I'm thinking that I may be agreeing with Tampa Bay fans. A sure sign of the end times. The 49ers' best chance against Tampa Bay -- any team's best chance, really -- is to run the damn football. Mr. Barlow & Mr. Hearst better bring their workin' shoes and their A+ game if the 49ers are to have a prayer. As lethargic as the Bucs' offense can be, they should do fine against a San Fran defense that's basically a touchdown waiting to happen (Mr. Plummer & Mr. Rumph, I'm looking at YOU).

In the end, they're still gonna have to come to the Vet anyway.... :)

The Bucs will come to Philly and lay down for us. They know their place and it is on the carpet.

From the infamous Wrestleline SS interview:

DTD: If you were to make changes in WCW, if you were in charge and not Ric Flair, what would they be?

SS: I'd get rid of all the old guys, and push the talent that has waited to get the push. The things they are doing, it's back in the 1980s. It's just bad, man. Flair doesn't even deserve to be on the show. You've got to get rid of all the old guys. Like what Vince did, they started pushing guys. Nobody knew who The Rock was 2 years ago. He made The Rock. Now The Rock just did Saturday Night Live. You've got to start with the young talent, talent people can relate to. Who are we trying to relate to if we've got a 50 year old man out there? Are we trying to relate, so a 50 year people and above will go out and buy a f*cking little toy? That ain't gonna happen. It's a f*cking joke.

Does it remind you of any show in particular?

You know what? Screw Vick! Screw The Vet! Screw The eagels! No matter who the Bucs play next week it's going to be a different story than the last three years. We don't have that walking cardboard dummy coaching around here anymore. Jon Freaking Gruden will not let us walk into Philly flatfooted. We will have our A-game and we will Beat Your Ass.

As for san fran. I'm trying not to take them lightly but if we can contain Hearst than they shouldn't be much of a problem. If Garrison breaks loose than this could turn into a shoot-out which would be very rare for a Bucs game. Either way you know T.O. will get a touchdown and his share of yards. Hopefully he'll also get his bell rung by Lynch and Brooks.

If the 49ers go with a balanced offence and try to keep the Bucs running D honest by going for Owens and Streets downfield they might have some joy. If they fall behind again early doors, they're screwed.

Hopefully the 9ers win so the Eagles can stick Detmer in to rip them apart again and keep young Donovan nice and healthy for the superbowl

49ers 17, Bucs 14

Neither team is really that good and will probably lose to the winner of the ATL/PHI game.

Ummm, October 20th, 2002 - Egles 20, Bucs 10

Does the Bucs A game against the Eagles include scoring offensive touchdowns because it didn't on that day.

Brad Johnson was injured in that game and ended up throwing some ducks. I hate to use that as the reason for our loss, but you've seen how the offense sputters without a healthy Brad in there. There is also a lot more at stake in the game next week than there was in week six or whatever it was.

As for what I said above. I'm sick of every one saying our season is over if the Bucs have to go to Philly. First of all lets deal with the business at hand. Beat San Fran and then think about Philly. And if we do end up going there I'm not going to stress it. This is the fucking playoffs for christsake! You're supposed to play the best, not wait for some underdog to settle the score for you.
