I keep hearing, at least from the media here in Milwaukee, that the Favre temperature thing is only at Lambeau. I am not sure, its like WWE history. It all gets messed up.

Oh, CRZ, by the way, I will be wearing my cheesehead on Sunday afternoon. How bout you???

Here's hoping the officiating crew working the Eagles/Giants game Saturday gets NO SNIFF at the Super Bowl. 2 NY TD's called back on phantom holding calls? What's with the Dusty Finish? Who booked that crap?

That said...thank you, Giants! Now we just need the Pack to ground the Jets, and NY will have been berry berry good to us this weekend. Hello, homefield!

And BucsFan...if the road to the Super Bowl runs through Lambeau, you don't win that game. Sorry.

Star wipe, and...we're out.

I am not surprised that the Eagles lost yesterday. The Giants needed that game to make the playoffs and were hungrier. Although the offense did try to give the game away numerous times. The defense saved them.

Anyway, we do get the first round bye, McNabb will be back by then, and a lot of dinged up guys will be healthy again so I am not worried.

From the infamous Wrestleline SS interview:

DTD: If you were to make changes in WCW, if you were in charge and not Ric Flair, what would they be?

SS: I'd get rid of all the old guys, and push the talent that has waited to get the push. The things they are doing, it's back in the 1980s. It's just bad, man. Flair doesn't even deserve to be on the show. You've got to get rid of all the old guys. Like what Vince did, they started pushing guys. Nobody knew who The Rock was 2 years ago. He made The Rock. Now The Rock just did Saturday Night Live. You've got to start with the young talent, talent people can relate to. Who are we trying to relate to if we've got a 50 year old man out there? Are we trying to relate, so a 50 year people and above will go out and buy a f*cking little toy? That ain't gonna happen. It's a f*cking joke.

Does it remind you of any show in particular?

What a weekend in NY, the Giants do it in overtime, and the J!E!T!S! JETS JETS JETS throttle the Pack. I guess no one wanted home field in the NFC. No matter though, I still think through the losses that GB and Phili are the teams to beat. Also, how odd would it have been if atlanta loses and gets in and if cleveland had won and got shut out...

By the way, Titan nation is ready...see you in Oakland.

Pack fans:

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

With a grade A ass-kicking at the hands of the Jets, the Packers hand a first round bye to the Bucs after Tampa's victory over Chicago. Now the second round matchup between Green Bay and Tampa Bay (assuming the Packers can get by Atlanta, who gave them problems before Green Bay won with an overtime field goal in week one) will be in Raymond James Stadium, where Brett Favre is 0-5 lifetime and has already been slaughtered once this year. That will be the only streak that matters, though the Bucs have now won their first sub-40 degrees game anyway.

Brad Johnson will be healthy, they have hands down the best defense in the league (leading in yardage allowed, points allowed, passes intercepted and passing yards allowed among other things) and the running game has slightly hinted at signs of the life recently.

And the best part is, Tampa can fall to 4th if they lose to Chicago and SF wins. That would set up probably Tampa vs. the red-hot Giants in the first round. I'd love to see those chokers from T.Bay go home early once again.

Another reason that it'd be really great if this happened is I *really* don't want to see a GB/TB playoff game because, although I'm certain the Pack would win, I'm equally certain that due to the bad blood from the past games, we'd come out of it with at least two major injuries, and it would really hurt us when the Conference Championship came around.

Geez, Paul, you're not gonna offer ME your extra ticket? It's ONLY a $400 round trip, after all :)

Sorry, Z, I figured you'd need to be saving up for that wedding thing!

Congrats, Bucs. You guys did tonight what we couldn't do. Here's hoping that we meet in Round 2. After all, all streaks have to end some time!

Take that, cold weather fanfare!

Guess this means we got the bye. Not that I'll mind facing Green Bay in Tampa, where Farve has a history of struggling, or Atlanta, who we've pretty much dominated in two games already this year. This'll be fun.

O.K. You've earned that...just be aware, the karma pendulum swings the other way too. That 0-5 streak that Favre has at Raymond James? Well...just like the sub-40 temp thing...it has to end some time.

Provided...no scratch that...WHEN we get past Atlanta...I'll be having my "AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA" all ready for you.

Congrats...see you in week two.

I suppose I should be happy I get to see my team next week instead of having to wait a week to see them....nah, I was a lot happier 24 hours ago.
We won't actually need a defense next week, right? It'll be just LIKE a bye...

Not so fast...if Atlanta wins they would visit Philly. Atlanta has the last seed, philly is the highest.

THAT'S THE SPIRIT!!! Glad to see you taking this in stride like me.

See...this way instead of having a week off to lose their drive, they're motivated by this loss, and it'll inspire all the 2nd and 3rd stringers to step up and fill the shows of the injured starters, and...and...umm

Kenny, are you sure about that? For some reason, I can recall seeing a 6 and 2 face off before - although I'm not sure why. Wasn't aware they had the funky hockey-esque rotational brackets (where the 1 seed gets the easiest route). Of course, there's probably a good chance that I'm wrong.

Yes, Kenny is right. If 6 beats 3, they play 1.

Not gonna happen, at least in the NFC.

I wouldn't be so quick to guarantee a Green Bay win next week... Michael Vick almost singlehandedly beat you in Lambeau opening week, and that was when everyone was healthy.

But I'd rather have Green Bay win since I don't think either San Francisco or Atlanta can beat Philly. I'd love to see New York do another number on the Eagles so that we can host 'em for the championship and kick their asses :)

I don't know. winng at green bay in the playoffs is usually reserved for one team. This year, however, has been so wide open, I think it realisticly can be any of the 6 teams going to the super bowl.
I'd love to see the Giants win and play the eagles again. Win or lose that would be an exciting game.

Damn piece of crap Dolphins, how do you lose a 11 point lead in the last 3 minutes! If the Fish win the Jets would have folded like a cheap suit, I'd have no trouble having the Pack take a cheap win over an unmotivated team.

What an exciting (note sarcasim) Sunday Night game, 5 field goals to none, why did the media diss the XFL again... And man do the Bears stink, well so did the Bucs offense with Robbie Boy, but I guess it's a good sign he didn't screw anything up and just got them on field goal range, even if it was with the help of 4 INT's by his defense.

Slight difference in weather for Vick and Co. from Week 1 of the Season afternoon game in Green Bay to a night game in Green Bay week 1 of January. Nice little punishment I guess for not being able to gain 1 yard at the goal line.

I want you to know, I agree with everything I've just said.

Good point. All streaks (including home playoff winning streaks), must come to an end.

Packers players are buying tickets to the game?
