A) Let's Make a Deal won't return as soon as we thought; Roker will not host, and tvgameshows.net mentioned that a well-known GS personality auditioned (please let Marc and "Harvey" take over for Monty and Jay )... it won't air until spring/summer.
The death-blow is when NBC sked "Meet My Folks" to come back in the 9p CST slot on Saturdays. I don't see this as a bad thing yet -- they could always resked to a different day, plus it gives the show time to dry run until they think they have something that's runnable.
B) Here's a how-not-to-post-a-show, IMO: "Wintuition" has twice had hot edits look bad on GSN. Today's wasn't that bad, but it's noticeable. You have a shot freeze of a contestant with Marc's v/o until she starts talking, and it starts to fit her v/o.
Monday's was worse. For some ungodly reason, they edited a portion of a show that was later in it. What happened was the score was like 500-500-400. The problem was the shot edited was 600-900-300; which was *right* after the first George segment. As someone else posted on another board... it's not rigging at all -- it just looked bad for such a decent show.
C) Jan. 6th starts another couple of show premieres; "Taboo" starts on TNN... "Cram" starts on GSN, and the NBC Weakest Link shows start repeating on the net, as well as "Love Connection." I'm not plussed because Card Sharks gets bumped, but as a consolation prize, they are showing "Trivia Trap." Get what ya can, I guess.
D) GSN.com has Lingo plus -- about to try it, post on it later!
"You had Jupiter, but you put it on Uranus." -- Marc Summers, on "WinTuition."
Originally posted by FMWI heard that both Card Sharks will get the boot, which would be terrible.
It *is* both versions. Remember, though, that GSN likes to change its mind every quarter. I've marked out more over the Eubanks one than I have the Perry one recently, but it's a shame to see them both go.
You almost wish that GSN would find a halfway decent set sked on weekdays, and let weekends go to shows that purists want to see (i.e. Trivia Trap, Blockbusters, etc.) but don't have that much of a run. Cronin's originals, to give him credit, are way, *WAY* better than the days of Throut and Neck.

I digress. Cowboy Bebop the movie and the series all had the same production team working on it. Series creator, Shinichiro Watanabe, directed the series AND the movie.
