Yeah, Rock is making movies because people actually will PAY to see him.
Trish really rebounded after last night's mess. She even busted out a couple new moves for her. Her spinning headscissors out of the corner put Jeff Hardy's attempt later to shame. It must suck to be Test when Trish is the worker on the team. Especially when she used to be his manager.

I always like when RVD goes into Zen preacher mode. Stoner philosphy is great stuff.

JR no-sold Raven, and he also no-sold King's comments about Jeff Hardy. "Have you noticed that Jeff Hardy has changed? Like he's not the same man he was?" It felt like Jerry was thinking out loud and JR quickly ignored it and moved on to something else.

I loved Jericho's promo. Now, the question is, was that segment just there to bury Jericho tonight, or is it going to lead to a feud with HBK to bury Jericho on PPV? Ok, ok, all kidding aside, I could get into a Jericho/HBK feud if they let Jericho have a shred of credibility.

Bookerdust/Christian was the segment of the night. Christian is so very awesome. I also enjoyed Kane/Coach/RVD, and Kane's emphatic "IT'S NOT A SMALL WORLD!" I think that's the first time I've ever enjoyed Komedy Kane, and the first time I've enjoyed anything Kane period in a LONG time.

Here's to hoping Steiner ends up making HHH his personal BITCH.

HHH's shots at Austin and Rock got me wondering if they should come back. Austin's reputation is not stellar right, now, but what does he have to prove? He did leave on his terms albeit not the best terms. He has to job to HHH for at least seven PPVs when he comes back. So, why go back?

Rock is in the same boat. He has all the money he needs, one wrong move and his Hollywood stardom is gone or put on a server long term basis. He is going to probably Main Event against Goldberg, yet another guy he has to carry through Wrestlemania. He is probably not going to be happy about working with Austin again and will be shipped to Raw to help boost ratings ie fueding with HHH and never seeing the belt again. Besides, coming back for the fans and fullfilling some contract demands which could go away when Vince snaps his fingers if Hellderoda makes its make back plus a few million. Rock doesn't need to come back espically if they go in the heel Rock route.

Both men really don't have to prove anything to anyone and if HHH gets kicks for taking shots at them while he can't draw flies right now and is the major reason, the company is in the toliet, then so be it. Rock more than Austin has done the job a number of times to get guys over, Angel, RVD, Hogan, Jericho, Brock and more. He doesn't have to do it anymore. Austin knows there is going to be major punishment for him and he will job to most of the midcard by the time summer roles around. Which could be a good thing for Booker T, Stiener, Jericho, RVD and Kane, but in the long run, fans will want him to win and beat the hell out of those guys plus whoever is the champ at the time ie HHH. So, you have a reciept for disaster brewing by bringing back your two major stars.

1. Is Rock's crediablity will be damaged if he does anymore jobs or turns heel. 2. Austin's losing streak will only piss off fans more even if it is a proper punishment for him. 3. How either one of those guys can coexist on a long term biasis with HHH when Raw needs their star power and he has control of the show. 4. Can the midcard survive another big name taking the spotlight from guys who earned their spot? 5. Lastly, will even Austin and Rock be able to save Raw or co-exist long enough to make a run at saving Raw?

A Fan- In the end, the man who needs to be punished won't be while one man stays away from the politcs another man will be thrushed into it and have to deal with the consequences of his actions.

I must say that Vicki's new music rules the house. It's catchy and funny. Who is the artist that does it? I think Lawler said it was Tattoo? Does anyone know anything about them?

I loved Raw tonight. Y2J and HBK in the same ring together gives me chills. Those two could put on a spectacular match, I bet ya.

HHH-Steiner was much better than I had imagined. BTW, that contract signing didn't result in violence! What gives with that? Next week we'll get a cake that no one gets thrown into!

I'm just wondering why J.R. was harping on King so much about his divorce. Let it go, Jim.

In general, a good show.

A Fan - If/when Austin comes back, he'll be the one dictating things, not HHH, regardless of HHH's still doing Stephanie.

You're right that Austin and Rock have NO REASON to come back. They don't need the money or the hassle so if they do come back, it's on their terms.

HHH just makes himself look bad when he takes shots because right now, HE is a big fish in a shrinking pond. I'm sure Austin and Rock just laugh when they hear his comments.

I for one will be very surprised if Austin does a job for Triple H when he comes back.

Come on, admit it. Goldust's delivery on the "Now with 35% MOOOOORE ASSSSSS!" line made you crack up too.

Jeff: Take a few months off, PLEASE. You're dipping to Gayda levels when it comes to blowing spots. When he's good, I'm entertained, but when he misses... yeesh.

Nice to see Raven back on Raw. You know what would be better? If he did something other than just stand. Maybe pace around or something.

How can a jar have any amount of ass? Does that even make any sense?

On that note, that's one of those things I knew wasn't funny...yet I laughed anyway. Goldust can make anything funny with his delivery. My personal favorite came a few months ago when he dressed up as Ben Franklin and said "There were times when I wanted to punch Thomas Jefferson right in the gonads, but I didn't"

It's all about delivery with Goldust. The man's a genius!

The funniest part of the Booker/Goldust/Christian segment, to me, was when Christian protested, “But Jericho's the one who uses Ass Cream!” Then, when he thought we weren't looking, he took the jar underneath his arm and made off with it anyway.

Hahahahaha!

I also liked when Goldust asked Booker if he'd like to touch his sack. I never get tired of Booker looking at Goldust like he's insane. And I must say that those World Tag Team Title belts look good on those two! Hell of a job by Booker T and Goldust, getting over as much as they have!

Could anybody have imagined this happening when we found out that Goldust was making his return at Royal Rumble 2002? I certainly never expected that I'd be cheering for him-- hell, Goldust's original character was one of the reasons I didn't watch the WWF during the Attitude era. I didn't feel the need to see someone rubbing his privates all over the ring. But he's just been so damn funny over the past year that it's hard not to root for him.

-Trish/Test vs. Victoria/Richards- Nice way to start Raw off. Trish started as a house on fire. Super looking forward spinning headscissor, and a nice looking victory roll. Victoria got in a Lasso from ElPaso type of move on Trish which looked good. Richards is such a heel, Trish fights with forearm shots and Stevie goes for the ol' rake to the eyes. Hot tag to Test who cleaned house, which is kind of funny seeing the girl Trish do all the wrestling and bumping and Test getting the tag so he could get all his stuff in. Somethings odd about that. LOL. That match was a lot of fun, it only went 4 minutes, I think it could have gone another 3 or 4 easily. There was only one tag on the babyface side. Only negative thing was the that I wanted more.

Well once again Lawlers a jackoff, talking about puppies and Trish's chest a couple of times. I wish his mic would just be turned off during women matches. At times I even wish Lita would do women match commentary, hell even Lilian from the other side of the arena might be better at least she wouldn't be focusing on Trish's chest(well atleast not out loud plus I think she think's Trish's ass is her best feature lol. kidding of course) Atleast Lawler called the Stratuphere by name which I heard it only once or twice and I don't think I've ever heard it on Raw, good they read the move names memo months later.

-Nowinski vs. Maven- 2 for 2 so far on good matches tonight. NIce spin buster by Nowinski, good dropkick by Maven. NIce honor roll move by Nowinski. 5 minutes seemed the perfect amount of time for this match tonight, good effort by both

-HBK/Y2J interview- I called it! The second HBK called out HHH I said Y2J is coming out, I knew it! Why? Because Y2J loves HHH sloppy seconds. Now that HBK has been brought down to earth and dropped the title its okay to go feud with others of Raw. Jericho really got some real heat in that segment, the fans were totally on him. He won't be #1 heel doing that, you have to split the crowd and make the fans turn on the face to be a good solid #1 heel on Raw.

-Christian vs. Goldust- Still disappointed they took out Christians great looking pyro for his entrance. The match was under 4 minutes. Nothing of anything really happened, I think I remember Christian jumping off the ropes and Goldie catching him anc chokeslaming him, that was cool. The ending was great, perfect double roll up and perfect positioning for the cheat win.

-RVD/Kane vs. 3MW/Batista- Hey I questioned why Rico wasn't there right away, Yes I like seeing him lol. Didn't like seeing this match, very uneventful with RVD who I'm a mark for in there that's saying something. RVD did his cool stuff that saved this match, 3MW is just so disinteresting for me and without the fun Rico it's even more boring watching them. They didn't do a bad job tonight but also didn't do anything to interest me either.

-Regal/Storm vs. Dudleyz- I'm starting to kind of getting into Regal/Storm, there not my favourite team but are less boring now. We get back from ad break with Storm/Regal getting the nice jobber treatment (already in the ring). Another average match, the crowd was into it so that helps. It was actually above average I guess. Nice heel work by the heels (duh. lol) and some good bits of babyface offense.

-Jeff Hardy vs. D'lo- Not a good sign when you try the exact same forward spinning headscissor move that 2 girls did an hour ago perfectly and you mess it up landing on your back while your opponent is still standing and starting his forward tumble. I think? he hit the railspot, didn't he? Well that would push his hit percentage up to 36%. Good for him. He did hit a nice whats-a-ma-call-it flip from the top rope to Dvon. But then made an awful poetry in motion with a ref who might or might not have remembered (or known) it was coming. D-lo didn't impress me at all either. He looked totally disinterested by his body language (oh he yelled a lot) and for a guy who's never on the A-show thats inexcusable. Worst match of the night easily. Don't even want to get into the racism angle.

-Booker T v. Jericho- I wonder what Jerico rants about for 3 minutes and Lilian just has to stand there listening to him . Probably best match of the night, even though it had a real unimaginary ending. Good back and forth action. there was a pretty dangerous looking flapjack. Good match but nothing outstanding like we've seen from the top match in previous weeks and it only lasted about 6 minutes. I guess Lilian had dinner plans because no announced winner.

-HHH/Steiner- I thought it was boring more then anything. Really uneventful. HHH comes out and started name dropping legends and the crowd responded with apathy. I don't think they knew if they should cheer the names or boo them because HHH was taking credit for beating them. So they responded with neither. Steiner comes out and says he's better because he has bigger arms (is this the male version of the female heel being mad because the face gets more cheers while wearing a bikini). Guys just whip it out and have your pissing contest. HHH no sold what Steiner said but Flair was selling like crazy (like usual) HHH left and Steiner did nothing. Not even a little roid rage. How uneventful.

-other stuff- BookDust/Christian backstage was just the best, line after line it just got better. Goldie "Wanna touch my sack". After BT dissed Christian "I don't even know what that means" and the kicker "Now with 35% MOOORE ASSS" Which I have no clue what it meant but it was so freakin funny... HHH calling someone else "jacked up" huh?... RVD/Kane was pretty funny, don't know how much staying power it has but funny nonetheless... Raven being mysterious is good that atleast he's on Raw. He looked VERY mysterious!.

Line of the night Goldust "Now with 35% mooore ass!"

Sign of the night "Lilian you are sooooo hot" - Smartest and honest thing anyone has ever put on a sign.

Main event spot was boring. Couple of backstage skits were really funny RVD/Kane, BookDust/christian. Some decent mid-card work but there wasn't a match that went into double degit in time, the most was Y2J/BT that went only 6 Min. I think they could have extended that match and the opening match. All matches had there charm except for Jeff/Dlo and the 3MW/Batista v. RVD/Kane.

Random Raw Thoughts:

I like Victoria's music as well. Victoria's Titantron rules as well.

Funny segment with Booker, SantaDust, and Christian.

I hope 3MW don't become faces now, thanks to Batista. Where was Rico?

I don't like this new D-Lo storyline.

I did mark out for Raven's return to Raw.

Maven-Nowinski, and Jericho-Booker T were both pretty good matches.

I liked Jericho's promo on Michaels.

The Steiner-HHH confrontation was also pretty good.

Overall, a decent Raw.

So, let's see what we have:

Armageddon - 2 almost-cripples w/ poor mic skills ME'ing the PPV. RVD, Booker, Jericho floundering in the mid-card.

Royal Rumble - 2 almost-cripples w/ poor mic skills ME'ing the PPV. RVD, Booker, Jericho floundering in the mid-card.

Hmmm...

Other than that, I'll echo this post:

I found myself wondering on several occasions tonight just why I was still watching the show. Nothing seemed bad but onthing was particularly good either, other than seeing Victoria's head spin around on her shoulders during her entrance video. But then they showed Raven standing in the parking lot and I popped big. He wasn't even WALKING, just standing. I'm not sure if there's something wrong with me or the WWE when the only time I pop the entire night is when a guy just stands in the parking lot and doesn't say a word

Jericho's promo was awesome. Hopefully, it leads somewhere, i.e. HBK putting over Jericho. Doubtful, but I can dream.

Jeff Hardy makes it on TV every week, yet Hurricane makes it every 2 or 3 weeks? Wassupwitdat?

RAYCISM~! Uh, I don't like where this storyline is going.

RVD is still messing around w/ Kane, 3MW, and Batista? What a waste (and I'm only a casual RVD fan). One of the most over guys on Raw, enough to be the #1 face on the show, and he's stuck trying to make the hosses look interesting.

Vince McMahon, in the waning days before the General Manager angle began, commisioned a 20 man battle royal to start the show, with the winner to get a shot at then-Undisputed Champion The Undertaker's belt at King of the Ring. HHH and Hulk Hogan did the Bret/Luger Royal Rumble finish, and it was decided that they would meet later on in the card to settle it. HHH went over cleanly, as was par for the course during Hogan's last WWE run.

(HHH then got his shot at 'Taker at KOTR, and everyone here bitched about how he was going to go over like it was some sort of foregone conclusion. Then, when he lost, they bitched that Undertaker was still the champ. Ah, smarks... What are we gonna do with you?)

Was it me, or was Y2J grinning ear-to-ear after taking the Sweet Chin Music, almost to the point of giggles? I guess he was going for a grimace, but it sure looked more like a smile to me.

I liked the Kane/RVD/Coach interview, though I would admit it would have been better had Kane not already gone through the 'lighten up' stage once already.

Test/Trish is not as misplaced of a team as some we've seen. Trish is Test's former manager. I don't recall the break-up being that much of an issue (did she take sides? I don't remember.) They are both faces and both from Canada (I think the fact that they are both faces and both have common enemies is all we are suppose to remember).

Watching Steiner trying to come up with witty comebacks for Triple H is entertaining in a funny sort of way.

I know, dude. If they can do the same thing with Albert, we'll all be eating our words. I actually LIKE watching Test these days and used to hate his guts. He had tons of crowd heat and kicked Stevie's head off. Looks like they are going to feud him with Raven, too, so that should be great.

I loved the show last night and was glad I watched. The whole thing was hot as hell from top to bottom.

I want Shawn Michaels off my TV permanently, and the sooner the better. The dorky ponytail, the fey dancing, the tucked-in t-shirt as fashion statement -- christ, he looks like my gay uncle. Acts like him, too.

PS -- The tag team champions should be wrestling AS A TEAM, not in singles matches. This drives me nuts. Book & Goldust just won the belts, for crying out loud. Is it to much to ask that they make their first post-title-win appearance AS A TEAM?

Smackdown did the same thing with the Geurreros once they won the tag titles. Why???
