Well, I missed about 10 or 15 minutes on the original showing, so I'm gonna have to watch a little more intently. Although my prediction for Schibetta's revenge was a little off (I had him getting ass-raped by Schillinger one more time, for old time's sake).

And does anyone else see this parole hearing coming way too soon in the run? I'm sure they'll come up with some swank-ass final ep, but still... it's how the show began, it'd make sense for it to end like that.

Governor Devlin is somehow going to end up in Oz before the show's over?

Oh, I like that. That would be a pretty good way to wrap things up.

One thing I'm wondering after watching the 2nd season is why didn't Ryan ever get back at Schillinger for what he did to Cyril during Cyril's stay in genpop?

He was involved in the whole "befriend young ugly fat Shillinger to fuck with Daddy Shillinger" thing. I think that was the blowoff.

OK, so I think I've figured out where OZ is supposed to take place:

Clues: it's got to be a state with a decent mafia presence, which is really the Northeast or maybe Midwest. It's got to be a state where a mayor could concievably be an ex-Klansman and get elected (not just the whole trial thing, but also because he was such boys with Grampa Shillinger, who we know is a big Klan guy). They are constantly making little New York references, which fits in with the whole Northeast thing. And it's got to be a small enough state that there only seems to be one big prison everyone goes to.

My guess? Delaware. Enough Hicks, Mafia from nearby Philly, close enough to NY that the references would make sence, close enough to the South that you could concievably have the ex-Klan mayor, and a small enough state that all the felons would fit inside Oz.

It seems that I am - in no particular order - Zack Morris, John Adams, a Siren, Aphrodite, Cletus the Slack Jawed Yokel, Amy-Wynn Pastor, Hydrogen, Spider-Man, and Boston.

I always figured on it being Baltimore since that's where his show Homicide took place although I don't know how big a mafia presence is in the city or state of Maryland.

Actually, I thought Pennsylvania was the choice. That way, you draw from lots of regions, plus its a big enough state that enough crimes get committed to replenish those who get whacked. Either that, or West Virginia where not only can you get an ex-Klan mayor, but also a real life Klan Senator.

Adabisi is scheduled to do the show next week, so the rumors are going...

Looking at one of the sites, Kareem Said is overdue for parole. (He should have started receiving hearings in 2000),

Well, he did refuse clemency once. And, he might have to be delayed in parole hearings due to his role in the death of Adabisi.

The killing of Adibisi was ruled as self defence.

Said was charged with attempted murder for the stabbings of Schillinger and Robson at the end of season four, and he plead guilty rather than fight it.

Thanks. I was wondering what the after effects are/were.

Where did what come from? (Keep in mind I've only seen today's ep from about half an hour in... when they started looking at the guy from solitary who died.)

EDIT: Oh... uhm... THAT. Where DID that come from? And who the hell was the reporter?!

Well, I'm going to bet no one picked HIM in the dead pool!

*spoiler*

And what the hell is with Beecher actually getting out of Oz?! I hope this is just some sort of cruel twist of fate before his final showdown with Schillinger.

It'll be interesting to see if there are any main characters left from the first season. We're down to Alvarez, Ryan, Rebadou, Schilliner and Beecher. It's looking like Keller is getting jealous of Beecher and I have a feeling he may try to do him like he did all the others on the outside.

Any bets on Cyril's shock therapy making him normal before he dies?

It was interesting to see that one guard (the Irish dude) helping with Moralos's payback. Is Chico going down.

+ 2 for me on the deadpool, with a "Holyshit!" being yelled out in the house.

Irony is that right before the ending I was thinking this is a weak ending to OZ this week with 'Let's make Books' ending the show. Then, boom.
I think the Governor ordering the hit on the Mayor seems a bit odd. He's in jail, he can't hold a press conference unless he's allowed. If he's a real troublemaker, put him in solitary, or worse gen. pop. where he would get whacked in 30 seconds. Instead, having someone not in OZ use an OZ method of silencing someone seems out of place.
The sock puppet being silenced? Another example of Jericho being held down.
Robson might have been at .9 on the prag scale this week decked out in the lipstick and the real short cutoff jeans. Funny how he no longer can even throw a punch in a fight after being the toughest of the Arians.

Any news on who that reporter was? To me it looked like Les Nessman from WKRP.

And Wolfgang Cutler is my new favorite character. He's crazy!

redsox: Even though my first thought was that Devlin ordered the hit, things were set up so that there is some question as to who actually got to the Mayor. Schillinger and Beecher both had motivation to get ahold of him as well, and since nothing was really revealed that I saw as to who actually killed him, this may come up again.

Lets also keep in mind that the prisoner who slashed the Mayors throat is the same prisoner who asked how the meeting with the Mayor went as Schillinger was leaving...

That ending was a BIG surprise. I read that Joel Grey from Cabaret is doing a two episode stint this season; I'm not sure but maybe he played the "reporter"? He looked familiar, but it might have just been from the previews...

Why, out of all the people who have died on Oz, would you have the guy who played the cello come back as a narrator? The music instead of dialogue was nifty and all, but there are definitely better characters to resurrect...

Cutler rules it.

Les Nesman in Oz would be classic. Having him start talking to the Spanish guys in the same way he pronouced Chi-Chi Rodriguise would be hysterical.

redsox: Was Robson even wearing pants? I remember that when they had the scene where... uhm... his bitchmaster got Macbeth from Rebadow, it looked like all he was wearing was the shirt...

Finally able to see a movie that premieres pretty much the same time as in the states. Here are my thoughts. I think it is safe to say if you seen the previews, then you pretty much know the plot. So this will be short and politics free!
