Does this have anything to do with Austin's alleged "return at the Royal Rumble," or did Stone Cold really have that big of an influence in the late '90s? I Pity Tha Fool Who Don't Support Chris Benoit! Promote this thread!

You're just not in touch with the WWE target demographic. You see, anyone who watches WWE cannot remember what happened two weeks ago. Therefore Stone Cold Steve Austin must be shown and talked about at least five times every Raw until he returns for any fan to remember who he is. Duh.
dMr Andouille Since: 2.11.02 From: Edinburgh, Scotland Since last post: 748 days Last activity: 135 days # 3 Posted on 10.12.02 1715.42 Austin had a huge effect on the WWF when he first came back into it. His feud with Vince was arguably one of the best ever done so in that sense they aren't overdoing it. On the other hand they're clearly trying to at least tease his return for a cheap ratings boost so in that sense they are. All clear now? Undisputed Wiener of the day 6.11.02

When Vince was on his game, one of his biggest rules was to never tease someone that you're not going to deliver.

Remind the fans of Austin, and possibly start word of mouth that he is returning soon. 2. They are seeing the type of reaction he gets. If his clips get boo'ed out of the arena and their are complaints being received about showing a wifebeater on programming, it might change whether or not to bring Austin back. Since their has been no major adverse reaction, it appears that bringing Austin back won't turn into a PR nightmare. I want you to know, I agree with everything I've just said. The only thing it might affect is the sponsors but if they didn't leave over necrophillia, they're not leaving over a guy whose record will be cleared in a year. chill Landjager Since: 18.5.02 Since last post: 4027 days Last activity: 4027 days # 7 Posted on 10.12.02 2301.19 It's widely-accepted as fact that Jimmy Snuka murdered his girlfriend sometime in the early-80's. There will be no problem putting Austin back on WWE TV. I'm not comparing the two really. OMG, I just realized how much Snuka is like OJ Simpson. Scary...

Scott Keith or somebody else did a big series of articles on the whole Snuka-murder thing. I'm sure it's archived somewhere on some site...not sure which one though. "Dammit Parts Unknown you made my inbox is overflow." - Net Hack Slasher www.south40band.com
I liked all of Punk and Ziggler's interactions, and the Sheamus/Miz match. Miz has a good style for wrestling any of the major brawlers, and looked as good here as he has in a long while.
