As Tie showed in the last game against Ottawa, he will not be that stupid. After the completely legal hit on Bondra, Chris Neil of the Sens followed him around for the rest of the game trying to get him "to go".
The Tie from 5 years ago would've dropped them right then and there. He didn't!!, and I would not expect him to take any cheap penalties in Game 1.
No matter what you might think about Tie, the comments made by the so-called Dandyman were way, way out of line. Fire the idiot.

Not that he'd say that about Domi's wife the week before a playoff series...I'm just amazed that Canadian talk radio could be called something besides the cure for insomnia.
You were better than a whole bottle of NyQuill some nights, hosts of Canadian talk radio. Thanks. *thumbs up*
Wheel of Morality, turn turn turn. Tell us the lesson that we should learn. One joke about hitting a woman: Maybe in the heat of the moment, certainly not enough to lose a job over. Two jokes: Still benefit of the doubt.
This guy made FIVE jokes. Fire his sorry ass.
So, Brain, what do you want to do tonight?
The same thing we do every night, Pinky: Try to take over the world!

He didn't drop the gloves because the doctors told him not to fight he is sort of injured...and saying stupid stuff like he beats his wife is disgusting the guy should be fired (no class).
Fire him. If you take a stupid comment like that and drag it out to the point where your co-host has to step in and try to drag you back from the edge, you're not deserving of a job like that. There's a difference between being funny/edgy and saying things that you should know could get you in serious hot water.
Apparently Holland didn't even do anything. Hossa called HIM and was like, "I love it, I love the whole thing. Let me go there." Is there a precedent for this in any sport?
