RIYADH, Saudi Arabia - Al-Qaida's leader in Saudi Arabia was killed Thursday during clashes with police in the western city of Medina, the Interior Ministry said.
Saleh Mohammed al-Aoofi was among six al-Qaida militants reported killed during police raids on numerous locations in the holy city and the capital, Riyadh, security officials told The Associated Press.
So many of these articles have been headlined by things like "Osama's Top Blank" and "Osama's Chief This" or "Osama's Number One Guy Here" that I have become completely numb to this.
Even if it's true it just comes across as so blown out of proportion that we're just continually patting ourselves on the back, and I find it hard to believe that we're actually making any real progress in the "Struggle Against Extremeism".

I guess I imagine every nation's counter-terror units calling each other up and throwing a party everytime they get someone on the watch list.
I have an overactive imagination.
I appreciate the sarcasm. Unfortunately, every jailed or dead terrorist seems to lead to more terrorists. Not saying we should stop but we really need to figure out what the hell to do to stop this.
