Yep, it's true. At least til' some team needs a lefty for the bullpen down the stretch this coming year. I thought for sure he'd go a few more.

I was shocked to here this. He is still better than most LH relievers in the game.

And yes, I think he'll be back before the end of 2004.

Orosco is great proof that if you're lefthanded and can consistantly hold a one-run lead out of the bullpen that you can pitch forever.

NONE of you watched him last year, then.

He did neither of those things.

Some of us had to sit and watch that guy for half a season. He was putrid for the Padres before they got smart and released him.

He's not left-handed?

Damn...he was THIS CLOSE to playing in 7 or 8 different decades. :-)

Ah, Jesse Orosco...another former Brewer. (Big deal...he was a former-any-other-team-in-the-damn-league too.)

I remember him from our almost-beat-Toronto team of 1992, along with Graeme Lloyd, Dave Nilsson (2 Aussies!?), Paul Molitor, Robin Yount, Dan Plesac, Doug Henry, John Jaha, Darryl Hamilton, Greg Vaughn, Cal Eldred, Pat Listach, B.J. Surhoff, Billy Spiers...

Star wipe, and...we're out.
