Well, what did everybody think? Some thoughts...

The new look Lakers vs. the new look Mavericks was interesting. The new guys for both teams look like they'll fit in well. GP adds a whole new dimension to the Lake Show.

Kobe coming out and sitting next to Shaq was a little uncomfortable. Bill Simmons might say that it was a "Rocky and Apollo hugging after the beach race" moment.

I get the feeling that Dallas is a Mutombo or Mourning away from dominating the league. LA shot layups all night. It's almost as if Dallas' attitude is "Hurry up and score! We want the ball back!"

Life after the Admiral (not to mention DANNY FERRY) began for the Spurs last night. They seemed to struggle. The Suns could be scary good once Stephon realizes that he has Marion and Stoudimire playing with him.

I don't like the element that Magic adds to the TNT studio segments. It was just fine with EJ, Kenny, and Charles. Don't get me wrong, I love Magic, but I wasn't as entertained.

Can't wait to see 'Melo and 'Bron tonight...

Thoughts anyone?

he's my basketball Jesus too...

I can't stand those new Mavs road unis, and the big fat homer in me is hoping the new Nuggets will rout the Spurs tonight.

BLASPHEMY!!

He did tend to drag on for awhile when talking about Kobe/Shaq (which is pretty much all they did). It was almost like he had the point he wanted to make in his head during the commercial, but when it was his turn to talk he immedately forgot it. I'll give him a couple more shows to improve before I turn down my overwhelming bias for him.

Also, big props for whoever put that Kenny Smith "Will watch basketball for food" PhotoShop together so fast.

Speaking of new guys, Walker seemed to have a nice game with 19 points on 7-13 FG's (5-6 3FG's). A few points on that...

1. Looking at the FG numbers, he shot 2-7 from 2 point land.

2. Watching him for the last 7 years, he has games where he is hot from 3 point land like last night. Those came around every 11-13 games. The rest of the time, he would have 1-7, 2-9, and 3-10 from 3 point land games. All while still shooting a similar FG% on 2 pointers.

3. With about half of the "experts" predicting the C's to drop out of the playoffs with Walker gone; to steal another line from Simmons, this is "Ewing Theory" waiting to happen.

Sox blow another chance to win the world series. More money for me!!!!
