Chris Jericho: Yeah, it's interesting. That is kind of the reason I came up with the "Save Us Y2J" idea. I'm not implying that the company needs to be saved, but I think it needs to be shaken up by someone forthright and creative. I think it is a beneficial situation for everybody to have a character like Jericho involved.
Heh.. I figured it was too much for creative to come up with something that clever. But if they continue to give Jericho the freedom to come up with his own stuff, at worst we get something that stands out from the same ol', same ol' booking committee consensus. Even when the main-event push ends. The Jericho-Christian-Trish triangle mid-card angle was one of the highlights of 2005.
I wonder if the OVW guys are encouraged to work their own ideas into the scripts, or if you have to reach a certain level in the company to earn the right to tweak whatever the writers come up with?
I am gonna say your right on both. Jeff Jarrett finally returns and gives Eric Young some confidence to fight back against Roode and sets up a match at Lockdown as Roode vs Young for Eric's freedom. Young wins with Jarrett's help.
