Any step is closer to hockey. While they still need to agree on what they'll do with free agency and arbitration, the big thing was the cap. I am hopeful that this is the start of a new CBA and the return of the NHL in October.
I'm glad they started these marathon talks AFTER the whole season had already been canceled. Where were these fucking 14-hour sessions back in October, guys?

Today's Star Ledger (www.nj.com) reports that Glen Sather will leave it up to Eric Lindros as to whether he will play in the Olympics. He says that he can't deny a player the opportunity or honor to play for their country.
