Thinking about Google's 2001 search along with another long-simmering project I've been toying with for a while, I slapped some more code together and came up with this thing:

OOO, how about this quote from RedSoxNation:

"Am I allowed to rip the career never won 15 games in a season pitcher Kerry Wood for giving up home runs to the 8 and 9 hitters for the Braves in a must game? If healthy, Prior will be a great pitcher for at least a decade. However, after 6 years, can we start to consider Kerry Wood a slightly better than average pitcher?"

I love the history thing, AND I love the links thing (w/ commentary about the links). Problem is, I don't know if anyone has time to do it all the time. Perhaps rather than one person doing it, we could just do it as a group (ie; wheoevr has time does it)?

Aw man, I totally forgot to post a thread about this ... That's one frowny for me

Parquet Wishes and Leprechaun Dreams

The most hilarious thing about Tommy Dreamer is that everyone else in WWE, from Shelton Benjamin to dudes who haven't even debuted yet, has a T-shirt available. WWE doesn't even bother printing up a T-shirt for Tommy Dreamer, A MAN WHOSE GIMMICK IS WEARING A T-SHIRT WHILE WRESTLING. And why is that? Because not a god damn person would ever pay money for a Tommy Dreamer shirt. Not even his own mother. As a result he usually ends up wearing a shirt that says "WRESTLEMANIA 24" or "JUDGEMENT DAY." I think it's time for Tommy Dreamer to just print up a T-shirt that says "UPCOMING PAY PER VIEW"

The complete list. (The W)

Thanks, Nastio.

You don't seem to like (American?) TV, though...you missed these:

2007: Jorja Fox leaving CSI - no great uproar
2006: Lost 3x1
2005: Arrested Development 3x3
2003: Grimis asks why conservatives could possibly hate someone as adorable as Tina Fey
2002: Birds of Prey

The saga of jjd's truck is still fascinating four years later.

In retrospect, I should have just completely shut down the Politics forum while I was getting married:
Exhibit A
Exhibit B

That's all I got.

EDIT: I got one more. I'm a sucker for irony.

2005: Aaron encourages the downloading of music

Love CSI, both original and Miami. And I'm a HUGE SVU fan. The problem is I'm a hardware tech, not a programmer, so I rely on copy/pasting the HTML which took MUCH longer than I anticipated/took way too much work. So essentially I grabbed two to four from each year, and assumed that someone (such as yourself) will add others they liked to avoid tearng my hair out. I'm glad traffic was slow when I did this, because it took four or five times before all the linsk worked

Now I have a template (and know not to do it in word where it auto formats) so the next time I do it it should be easier.

I'm not going to do it everyday, but I like seeing this enough I'll do it every so often.

Ditto! I remember posting that I didn't know who any of them were and people didn't understand why/how I couldn't.

How long does it take you to do these Mr. Shane (just to get a sense that I could be more efficent when I do them).

It was much easier this time because I decided instead of just writing out my html each time I just made one and copied it each time and subbed in the number of the thread and my "witty" commentary.

Edit: I guess I didn't answer the question. About a half hour.
