Since there is no general 'sport' forum I guess I'll put it here.
Well today is Day 4 and yesterday Canada got it's first medal (should have been second....read Politics for more ratns on this :P)! Yeah! And in a total unsuspected place. Now Speed Skating is one of our spots we're expected to medal in, but NOT the 3000m, and NOT breaking the old Olympic Record. And with all three in the top 10 that was just amazing!
But today some GREAT sports start today. Curling, and Women's Hockey!
Today there are two draws for the man, and on for the women. Should be interesting day of curling (of this also pushes RAW back to midnight for us Canadians but hey, it's the Olympics!)
And the Canadian Women's Hockey Team plays Kazakstan today...hmm that should be a shootout for Canada :P
Also we will more than likely get another medal tonight, barring major disater our Figure Skating pairs team (Jamie Sale & David Pelttier) should get a medal as they are second after the Short Program.
I just love the olympics :), for some reason though I enjoy the Winter Olympics more then the Summer version..oh well :)
I'm watching tonight for the Women's Downhill to see if Picabo Street and her "string and baling wire" knees can hold up and get her a medal.
I'm not much of a snowboarding fan (an old time two planker here) but Kelly Clark's "McTwist" was awesome.
I think a lot of the winter games appeal for the casual sports fan is the fact that in almost all of the winter sports the athletes are really putting their bodies on the line and that they are truly capable of delivering a NASCAR type of crash at any time.

I've always enjoyed the winter olympics more than the summer. The snowboarding was pretty cool, and the downhill skiing last night was pretty great too. Those guys are FLYING down those hills, and not to mention the ski jumping. Who was the first person to figure out you could jump down a hill like that and did he/she survive?
One of the more annoying (and hard to tell) things to find out is if the previous owners replaced the window winders, which were originally made with a plastic part that easily broke, leaving you with a stuck window in any random position.
