Last night, February 24th, 2007, during Holy Diver Down, El Generico became the ninth Pro Wrestling Guerrilla champion beating the Human Tornado to win his first PWG title. El Generico was already PWG Tag Team title champion with California native Quicksilver in the team "Cape Fear". ElGenerico becomes the first wrestler to hold both the PWG title and the PWG tag team title at the same time. El Generico was voted 2006 California Outstanding Wrestler of the Year and Cape Fear was voted 2006 California Tag Team of the year. PWG is considered the biggest and best California promotion.
El Generico and the Human Tornado were previously tag team partners and PWG tag team champions as part of the team "Two Skinny Black Guys".
If El Generico can hold on to his PWG belt until April 28th, he will bring the PWG belt with him on his tour of Europe. He won a three-way dance January 20th, 2007 during IWS Praise the Violence 2007 beating Kid Kamikaze and Jagged to win the right to represent the IWS at the King of Europe Cup, April 28th to 29th, and at wXw's 16 Karat Gold tournament, May 4th to 6th. El Generico will be the only Canadaian wrestler in the two tournaments.
While a native of Tijuana, Mexico, El Generico makes his permanent residence in Montreal, Quebec, CANADA. The red-headed Mexican becomes the second Quebec resident and IWS wrestler to win the PWG title. His running buddy, "Mr. Wrestling" Kevin Steen was the sixth PWG champion beating A. J. Styles during Zombies Shouldn't Run on August 6th, 2005 and losing the title to Joey Ryan during Chanukah Chaos (The C's Are Silent) on December 3rd, 2005.
Both El Generico and Kevin Steen are former International Wrestling Syndicate champions. El Generico beat Pierre Carl Ouellet to become the 13th IWS champion during V on June 15th, 2004. At the same show, Kevin Steen beat his long-time rival EXesS to win the right to challenge for the IWS title "any time he wanted". Kevin chose to do so right after El Generico beat PCO, beating the exhausted luchador to become the 14th IWS champion. Steen lost the IWS title in a six-man elimination match during Born to Bleed 2004 on November 20th, 2004. El Generico eliminated Kevin Steen to get his revenge, but Steen's bodyguard Franky the Mobster won the match and the title.
Speaking of Franky the Mobster, the IWS star will be making his California debut on March 10th during PWG's next show.
Also during Holy Diver Down, Kevin Steen put on the match of the night in a losing effort against Pac "The Man Who Gravity Forgot". Pac's match last year against El Generico was voted California Match of the Year for 2006.
The rest of the results for Holy Diver Down: Joey Ryan defeated Topgun Talwar. Ronin defeated Ricky Reyes in what was described as a very stiff match. Karl Anderson defeated Frankie Kazarian after someone in a Scorpio Sky mask ran in. Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley defeated Chris Boah and Scott Lost in what was described as a really good match. Disco Inferno beat Bino Gambino two falls to one.

I would bet so too, but they're comprimised. They can't really do anything about it without risking losing the bigger name NJPW guys, who are probably drawing as much for ROH as their own guys right now.
