Ever since he got "traded" to Raw, his stock has gone way down. Not only is he losing matches, he's not getting focused on nearly as much.

I wonder if he did something to piss someone off? Or is the losing going to be an angle (please, not a MVP losing streak gimmick). Or is he going to be the leader of the NXT invasion angle?

I'm just wondering how someone who was so over for so long suddenly is getting buried. Would like to hear what you all think.

Well that was rude.

Buried? He's just in Jericho stasis that he goes through every so often where he doesn't have his program. He's kind of out in the cold since he's not in the Fourway fourway. Why he isn't in the top four is another question, I guess, but if it was in a five-way he'd be in that.

The real problem is they do all the movement at one time with the draft where they want Jericho on Raw but don't have anything good for him for two PPVs in a row. He could've been working with Kofi or having a real breakup feud with Show or something on Smackdown.

Does it have something to do with Fozzy? New album out this year and all. Is he any part of it?

Jericho is hosting ABC's Downfall starting June 22. So I would presume that's what he is focused on for the time being.

While it's true that Chris Jericho no longer enjoys the push or the focus that he received while being on SmackDown, I think Jericho's so far up the hierarchy that wins and losses can't really affect his heat. He's been around for so long and been so successful that I doubt he won't be treated as a threat (by the fans, at least) any time he steps into the ring. He just needs to open his mouth to remind the fans just how much they hate him. And if it starts to really go downhill due to poor booking, then they can always turn him face, and all will be well.

Justin nails this one - they maybe need to split the draft, do two a year and make it smaller each time. Three on-show picks plus four supplementals. At the moment they make moves planning for an eventuality six months down the line when those shifted from show to show could do a lot more good, both for themselves and for the product, by staying put.

I had this great idea once in which Chris Jericho joined forces with the Miz, united by their insistence that the Big Show was the weak link in their respective former tag teams.

But I forgot two weeks later. I should have kept that napkin I jotted all this down on.

You almost wonder if he is being de-pushed because of the TV show, the way that the company resents people with outside projects (Stacy Keibler, MIckie James).

Jericho did an interview saying (more or less) he's done it all in the business and now he wants to spend time helping elevate young talent.

There was a rumor that he didn't tell WWE about the new job and they only found out when everyone else did. It wouldn't shock me if ABC didn't let Chris know til that point either. The rumor does say its been smoothed out. I am thinking Jericho will be the NXT victim for the Rookies if they remember that storyline. If the show is a hit, we won't see Chris around much longer anyway. I am sure he will stay if the show goes on hiatus, but if there is room in the fall and it gets good ratings then he will be gone probably after SummerSlam. At this point, Jericho is in flux partially of his own making and partially due to the constant need to push another Cena/Edge program down our throats for the summer unless the NXT storyline takes over which after seeing this week's NXT episode and reading the Smackdown spoilers, don't bank on it.

Which is a noble thing (if it does happen) although it does mean that he will fight against guys like R-Truth, Morrison, etc and probably --lose--. OMG~! There's that de-push.

Have to admit though. Jericho is the best guy to make defeat look good.
His facial expressions are great and he isn't above making a fool out of himself either.
Biggest example of course was when he first 'retired' and had to be dragged out of the arena. He made sure that we remembered his over the top antics.

In the past month or so, Jericho has lost to the Hart Dynasty (with Miz), Edge, R-Truth, and Big Show. Apart from the Dynasty, you'd hardly call that elevating young talent.

Your TV show argument might have more meat to it, though. The WWE is known to do such things.

What about his loss to Heath Slater on NXT? I'd call that helping elevating new talent.

NOwhere has reported a Cena/Edge program being on tap. It's fairly obvious that they remember the NXT storyline, given that it was the number one issue on NXT Tuesday night. Please just stop.

I think Jericho's one of the few guys who could walk away into another line of work and not suffer at all. He's here right nonw because he enjoys it. Once that stops he'll move on. More power to him.

Is Cena not facing Edge at the PPV? I am not going to spoil Smackdown for anyone, but I'll just say get ready to be confused.

Given that he carried RAW as champ and then SmackDown as champ and then worked both shows as tag champ and then worked NXT as a mentor, maybe they're giving him a rest.

Did anyone get as much TV time in major angles as Jericho since his return? He's been everywhere. Let him gear down for a little bit.

R-Truth can be considered 'new talent'. Even Miz/Morrison are.
They will definitely benefit from being in the ring with a guy like Jericho.
I agree, putting him in the ring with Big Show doesn't do anything for either guy at this point (as proven on Raw)

He's talking about

Spoiler Below: Highlight text to read
no further NXT attack(s) on Smackdown. Seeing as it is taped, and people can see spoilers days before the show airs, it's probably only a matter of the company wanting to do the NXT stuff live for maximum effect, and not them completely dropping the angle.

If you read my past history, you know I am a huge Jericho fan and thought in the past he was being held back by the WWE (see HHH).

But I think at this point he is such a company man and the WWE knows how good he is for the company (he was the most polished and well spoken wrestler on the talk circuit after the benoit murders) that no matter what happens, they know and trust that they can throw him right into the title mix at any time, even if he loses 100 times in a row.

I am hoping that Jericho is the leader behind the NXT Rookies and that he steps back and somewhat "manages" them while also letting them have the spotlight. He was the only one to push his rookie and take a interest in Barrett succeeding.

Either way, Jericho is too much of a vital cog for the WWE for them to ever let him slip too far down. He'll be back in the title picture soon enough.

Life is hilariously cruel.
