I have been using the download helper from firefox to download some music videos. I would like to put them on a dvd, how do I go about that? I have a FLV player, what do I need to do to get the videos onto a dvd. (Yes, I have a DVD burner)

Do you plan on watching the videos off of the DVD, using a DVD player? If so, you'll need to convert them from FLV to something else. Some DVD players can handle DivX/XviD AVI's, some can't.

Okay, I guess I need to find out if my DVD player can handle the DivX.

Anybody have any suggestions on a decent converter?

Truthfully, I've only used it once, but it worked ok.

I came across a program that both downloads videos straight from youtube, and can convert them to any number of extensions.

If I converted them to .wmv files, would a disc I burned be able to be played using windows media player? I would assume it would.

Yes.

For media players like WMP, it matters less what medium (e.g. hard drive, CD, DVD, floppy) the wmv files read from as much as the media players having the proper codecs to play these files. WMP playing .wmv files, for example, is a given.

Thanks so much, cubs. I did watch the review and their only real minus (censoring profanity) is actually a plus for me! I always appreciate the expertise and experience of the Ws. Gabba gabba hey!
