But I gotta say, SCSA's promo with Coleslaw was high-larious. "That's a beer belly. I'm lowering my center of gravity so no one can throw me over the top rope" is my new standard line when the wife nags me during the second six-pack.

I think he almost did. Why question is where the hell is Rock? Damn, he has got one more TV show to hype this match and thats it. Smackdown has to really put that match over or it will another match just waiting for the Rumble. So, far the Rumble main event title matches have been really good, I hope this doesn't break the streak.

A Fan- Hoping RVD pulls the upset.

Don't you get it? If they don't promote the Rock-Jericho match, then it won't draw well, and they'll all say, "See, Jericho's match with THE ROCK didn't draw, he's not a main eventer. Quick, sign Kevin Nash and have him squash Y2J!!!"

Yeah, that's EXACTLY what they're thinking, I'm sure. You'll have to excuse me now as I go find where my eyes rolled too...

Okay, I'm back. Actually, Rock was re-shooting parts of his movie.

I thought Austin said fuck too, but I wasn't paying close attention and figured I miss heard him.

If the WWF wants US to take him seriously as a main eventer, then THEY have to take him seriously as a main eventer, too. And I don't see that.

And, heck, we probably never will. I was actually thinking tonight they're probably going to do the same storyline as last year, with HHH in Austn's role, Austin in Rock's, Rock in HHH's and Jericho in Angle's. Or something.

I didn't really see all that much tonight that helped to build to the Jericho-Rock match. In fact, the only thing that's giving me any hope at all is that they're starting to tease a Stephanie/HHH split, hopefully to occur at least by the Rumble...

...not to get any further away from the point, but wouldn't it be kinda sweet if HHH won the rumble, then dumped Stephanie, and in the divorce settlement, she got half of the title shot at WrestleMania, then gave it to the heel of her choosing? Hey, that was a pretty good idea. The WWF can have that one for free.

What about the really old idea about Jericho stealing Stephanie from both HHH and Angle [in the middle of their feud] to get himself some REAL heat?

Mind you, the Jericho Sucks chant at RAW was good, and one of the first times I heard it on TV, but, you know, this would kick arse... Not gonna happen, I'm aware, but ideas are fun.

Wasn't The Rock off re-filming part of the movie last night?

Austin did say fuck. It was cool. The funniest part of the promo was when he talked about Whataburger. Which he turned into What-aburger for the promo.

For you outside of Texas, Whataburger is a chain of burger joints here in Texas. I am surprised they didn't jump on this "What" mania for some local ads.

I looked like Austin was about to laugh when he was talking about his beer belly.

With RR like a week away? Pretty bad timing for that, if you ask me.

Yeah, Rock was off filming his movie this week, and it IS pretty bad timing.

BUT, the WWF could have had Jericho do a bunch of different things for the World Title match. I don't even think it was mentioned as part of the show (outside of the Rumble ads). For instance, Jericho could have:

1) Called out Rock and called him a coward for not showing up, then run him down FOREVER...
2) Put the belt on the line against Rikishi and beat him to a bloody pulp, or broke his leg, or some other big-time phony injury, since he's Rock's "friend" and all...
3) Beat up Flair alone, without Vince's help. Jericho can't beat up a 53 year old man without the help of a 54 year old man? Oh, wait, 50 year old men are going to be littering the main event soon enough.

Yeah, but then everyone would've SO expected him to come out, then get all disappointed when he didn't.
Then all those disappointed folks would jump on the net and cry about the WWF leading us on for 2 hours and not delivering.

Anyone remember Jericho's quasi-feud with Goldberg a few years ago? Anyway when it was just starting, before it got dropped, Jericho would come out and challenge Goldberg when he knew he wasn't in the arena. Goldberg wouldn't there so Jericho would win by count out. Awesome stuff.

That would be sweet. Especially if Jericho can get a midget Rock to pin.

The WHATaburger comment brought back some old memories, man does that place suck. I went there when i was in the Dallas area once and sat there waiting for my food for A ENTIRE HOUR!! Then i finally got my chicken sandwich and when i bit into it it was still bleeding.

NO midgets. Just ... Say ... No, to midgets. He can win by countout to make his point. He doesn't have to beat up a midget to get more heat than he'd get with the idea to begin with.

Three days before my birthday, I headed down to the Corral to watch Smackdown's house show. The show started at 1:30, and was about half-full. -Theodore Long came out and introed the show, including JBL/Angle/Guerrero for the WWE Title as our main event....
