Could I play the part of degenerate expert gambler? Fab.
The Big Show v. Akebono Akebono EV (1:1)
At those numbers, you gotta take Akebono, and take him strong. Most of their growth is expanding in new markets, and this finish has to be constructed with that in mind. And add in the rumors of Show being unhappy with the finish and this is an eawy one.
I'd Stay Away from the Over/Under time here; I don't expect a lot of action, but stalling for sure.
Rey Misterio Jnr. v. Eddie Guerrero Stay Away from the finish.
I wouldn't be against throwing a little bit on Rey at those numbers, but I don't think there's a clear enough outcome to be strong on either guy. Putting something on a Misterio heel turn is tempting, but I don't think it's strong enough possiblity to be worth it.
11:20's an intersting time; if this was a SD! PPV, obviously you take the over, but time management works very odd on WM PPVs and this is one match they would (fairly or not) take time away if they felt they needed it elsewhere. Stay Away too.
Trish Stratus v. Christy Hemme Christy Hemme +350 (7:2)
Easy, easy bet. It'd become more debatable if it was Christy winning and winning the title; could figure them doing a DQ finish to give Christy the win but keep the title off of her if they don't think she's far enough along.
Leaning towards the over on time, but not feeling too strong. If offensive moves by Christy include all strikes, take the over. If strikes don't count, take the under - I'd take the under if the line went down to 5, in that case.
I'd take the Lita heel turn if it was a higher number. It's a long shot, but a shot.
The Undertaker v. Randy Orton The Undertaker -200 (1:2)
Take the Undertaker. The momentuem is clearly against Orton at this point. I'd take the under on Blade jobs (Undertaker's not going to do it), and Stacy appearing, though I don't feel strongly about her being part of the finish.
Christian v. Edge v. Chris Jericho v. Chris Benoit v. Shelton Benjamin v. Kane style: ladder match Edge +300 (3:1)
Too iffy to take anyone for sure here, unless I can bet on Christian not winning. When it comes to pick this for any previews I might be doing, I'm probably leaning towards Edge, but not strong enough to lay money on it.
If blades jobs were expanded to busted up, I'd take the over in heartbeat. I would take the over on time, but not for a lot.
Kurt Angle v. Shawn Michaels
Stay Away, outside of a small bet on Over 22:37.
David Batista v. Triple H David Batista +150 (3:2)
Suprised the numbers so good there, comparing it to the other title match. I'd bet strong on it. 20:02 would be way too long for these two, and the sane thing would be to have a shorter match, but I wouldn't bet on it.
John "Bradshaw" Layfield v. John Cena John Cena -250 (2:5)
You know what? Nah, stay away. The odds aren't good and there was the previous plan to have Cena win out on SD! instead, so it's not a sure thing, which it has to be at that number.
Overall Side Action Vince McMahon appearance 1:2
Iffy enough to pass at that number.
Bret Hart appearance 8:1 The Rock appearance 4:1 Mick Foley appearance 3:1 Crusierweight Title match sanctioned 3:1
All too low to throw cash at.
Sure 5 on Akebono (1:1) ****LOCK OF THE WEEK**** 4 on Christy (7:2) 4 on Undertaker (1:2) 3 on Blade Jobs in UT/Orton (1:1) 2 on Stacy appearing in UT/Orton (1:1) 2 on over on time for Ladder Match (1:1) 2 on over on time for HBK/Angle (1:1) 4 on Batista (3:2) 26 units total
Maybe if strikes do count, 4 on over for offensive moves for Trish/Christy if strikes don't count, 4 on under for offensive moves for Trish/Christy if hardway does count, 3 on over 2.5 bleeding in ladder match

WWE VELOCITY AND SUNDAY NIGHT HEAT WORKRATE REPORT – April 17 & 18, 2004 Since Heat was one of them there “before a PPV” show there wasn’t much to talk about. So it is one report this week, which means less writing for YOU! to ignore.
