That's the big issue I had when watching SD this week. Show and Henry destroyed the tables (and Show basically bullied his way into the #1contender spot), Team Vickie ambushed Air Boom, Beth didn't stop after she had won.
And all Teddy was doing was waiting for Aksana in his office. Announcers sort of hinted that he too seemed to have little control. So maybe that's going to be the next stage of this story...
I have to admit I am interested where they can go with this. It would be a perfect way to introduce new people (first introduce them as replacements, then have them fight (and win) a regular roster spot) It's also a nice way to either shuffle rosters again, or ignore/cancel the splits. I don't expect any of this to happen and to have stuff be back to the old ways in 1 week. But it is fun.
Between the CM Punk angle and now this, WWE is seemingly trying to change up the way they write and play out their stories.
This is where WCW excelled at compared to the WWF/E. You mostly only hear negative comments about WCW, but they handled their cruiserweights very nicely. No, they almost never got the main event spot or anything, but I really liked what they showed.
