Anybody gotten anywhere in Master Quest yet? I haven't gotten it yet (or a GameCube, for that matter), and I'm wondering how much more difficult it is than the original game. The only difference between the original OOT and Master Quest is harder temples, right?

I do not mean to pry, but you wouldn't by any chance happen to have six fingers on your right hand?

I just played masterquest last night and it is much harder. All of the non-dungeon areas are identical to the original, but the dungeons are completely different and much harder. As an example, there are now flaming bats inside the Great Deku Tree that burn your deku shield, something that doesn't happen in the original until much later. Dodongo's Cavern has been completely changed, and it took me and my friend almost two hours to beat it. We beat the original one in less than half of that.

Do you have to beat the original Oot first to unlock Master Quest?

Nope, you get them both right from the get go. I jumped right into Master Quest, myself.

Heck, I just beat the original OoT, I'm not touching Master Quest.

Got a GameCube a few days ago, and Master Quest yesterday morning.

I have also come back to this game because of the Zelda pre-order dealie-yo.

I realized how much I enjoyed the game, but I'm trying to not use spoilers (but zelda.com is so helpful...nope...must refrain). I'm upset that I can't remember who gets the bunny mask in the child world.

Anyways, I just recently got the third stone (I hate the Lord Jabu-Jabu belly dungeon level) and just turned into an adult. Of course I am stuck in the Forest Temple like DarkRenegade is right now. Good thing I have PLENTY of free time on my hands to work on this game (see Random folder for why).

I can't wait for Wind Waker!

I'm playing through OoT right now, my friend is playing through MQ. I saw a couple of those dungeons and I was shocked at some of the stuff. So small, so simple, yet it turns everything around.

I shudder to think what ~THE WATER TEMPLE will be like in Master Quest.

How's the Water Temple in Master Quest? You have no idea... AND THE ROCK MEANS NO IDEA... how fucking hard it is, man. That's what I'm stuck on right now, as a matter of fact. I've gotten the temple's special weapon (no spoilers for you guys!) but I can't find even one damn key to save my life.

I know what you're thinking, 'cause right now I'm thinking the same thing. Actually, I've been thinking it ever since I got here. Why, oh, why, didn't I take the blue pill?

I've beaten Master Quest's Fire Temple, but I haven't started again due to fear of the Water Temple. One thing that was always helpful in the original Water Temple? Mad use of Faroroe's Wind (the green one). It'll get you to places that you wouldn't think possible.

If they studied their paper money for clues as to what their country was all about, they found, among a lot of other baroque trash, a picture of a truncated pyramid with a radiant eye on top of it, like this:

Not even the President of the United States knew what that was all about. It was as though the country were saying to its citizens, "In nonsense is strength."

It's been so long since I played it, I don't think I could spoil anything if I tried.

I did enjoy it though, although not as much as I do the FF games.

Of course, I'm currently slugging my way through the new Yugi game. I would like to know who decided that a Japanese card game with Ancient Egyptian overtones fits in Tudor England. Wacky.

Standly has already warned me if I try Master Quest I'll commit seppuka.

I've been on regular OoT, playing for the first time believe it or not. I wish the game was overhead all the time, but that's just old me.

Oh, and F YOU King Dodongo. Yo ass is gras.

I also quit on the Jabu-Jabu Belly deal. I could go into great detail how much this level sucks but I guess that could be a spoiler although I don't know how to I could "ruin" that level. Is this really the worst level of thje game? I don't mind a little cheating to get past a lame part of a game. I just felt that the water level is so bad (I can't really say it's too hard, just silly actually)way too much early in the game to keep playing if the rest of the game was going to be played that way. Should I just go back and "skip" the level?

Bubbles? Oh come on Sharon! Im Ozzy Osbourne the Prince of Fucking Darkness. Evil, evil, more fucking evil not a boatload of fucking bubbles man.
