I really have no idea who's going to win the title match. It depends entirely on what their future plans are, which we don't know. Maybe they don't know? Anyhoo, I figure Asuka and American Alpha are locks to retain, and I think a loss helps Aries heel-turn more than a win, so I'll take Nakamura there. Almas is debuting here, against Tye Dillinger, so, yeah, he's got that in the bag as well. Like I said in the recap, though, that's a pretty short card. I wonder what else they might have planned.
It is really good that we are going in to an event and there aren't clear and obvious winners in some of the main matches. It isn't often that events are like this - they have been odd at times with some of the, shall we say random, results we have seen this year.
I think this will be a very good event and will go with: Joe in a hard hitting match. American Alpha. They are superb and always worth watching. Nakamura. This will be a good match if they let Aries pull out some moves we haven't seen him do yet in NXT. Will also hopefully make Aries look good and also fully turn heel either here or the next tapings. If there are any?! Asuka. Can't see them taking the title off her yet. Almas in the definite absolute certain result of the night.
Looks like they will all get a good amount of time so should be a good card.

I agree that it's kind of a nice change of pace, but I generally don't mind if a match has kind of a "set" outcome. It's like if I go to the movies to see Iron Man, I know that he's going to win at the end of the movie, but the fun is in seeing how he gets there. It's the same thing for me with wrestling most of the time. It's okay if I already know that, say, Roman Reigns is going to win the match, assuming (big assumptions, here), that the story they're telling says that he should win, that it's fun watching him win, and that his win ultimately means something going forward. Which NXT is usually pretty good at delivering.
*Samoa Joe *American Alpha *Asuka *Cien *Aries (via blatant cheating to officially turn heel)
George Michael weighed his options. Maeby had chastised him for not taking risks, and what would be a bigger risk than perpetuating a lie about software just to ignite the passions of a woman? Of course it would be a lie, and since Maeby wouldn't know it was a lie, he wouldn't appear to be taking a risk. Perhaps the bigger risk was to tell his father he was lying, that he came up with it because he wanted his father to leave so he could enjoy what remained of his senior year. After all, he wondered, wouldn't that be the course of action taken by an overtly sexual man, a man who owns a pair of matador pants? He had not responded now for 41 seconds according to his unfailing internal clock, and it was time to come clean.
I see Cien Almas and Asuka as the most "locked in" to take wins. The advertised other matches I can see the logic in going either way but, I'll say; Joe for the decisive win that keeps Balor chasing him for a huge win next "special" , American Alpha to maintain their momentum until either TM-61 or Johnny & Tommy are built up enough to be put over them, & Aries over Nak for the swerve win.
