This week's show is opening hot, as the Lucha Dragons put their titles up against Blake and Murphy as promised last week. Blake and Murphy get an actual entrance, finally, with super-intense dubstep that makes everything they do seem extreme. It turns out to be a pretty good match, which is utterly unsurprising considering what we've seen out of Blake and Murphy in their losses so far, as well as what we already know about the Dragons, and specifically Kalisto. In fact, once Kalisto gets into the ring, he becomes a dynamo of aerial motion, corkscrewing around in every direction. Unfortunately for him, Blake wipes out Sin Cara on the outside, and then blind tags himself into the match while Kalisto is occupied with Murphy. Blake and Murphy have clearly studied the Dragons' match with the Vaudvillains, and discovered that their key weakness is that they never know who the legal man is. Blake takes full advantage of this and scores a surprise roll-up on Kalisto, and holy shit, Blake and Murphy are your new tag team champions!
Match Rating: Holy Shit, Blake And Murphy Are Your New Tag Team Champions!

We cut backstage to Bayley and Charlotte, who are having words. They'll be tagging against Sasha and Becky tonight, but Charlotte's still pretty pissed about that suplex last week. Bayley refuses to apologize, and says she's following Sami Zayn's lead - get serious, win title. Charlotte tells her to watch herself during the tag match.

We also get a quick update from Tyler Breeze. Prince Pretty isn't letting his loss last week get to him. Good for him.

Our next match is another #1 contender tournament match: Neville vs. Kidd. Kidd's entrance gets interrupted when Solomon Crowe "hacks" the video feed, and I know some folks are going to be excited that that guy's finally showing up. The match opens with Standard Chain Wrestling. Sometimes I wonder what HHH thinks of his own matches. I mean, he's probably got a pretty high opinion of them, but none of them are the kind of technical, mat wrestling affairs that he is clearly a fan of. Just something that ran through my head during this opening sequence. Anyhoo, Neville picks up the pace, but Kidd brings it back down, eventually scoring a nasty 'rana that puts Neville's head flush into the ring steps. I'm going to level with you guys; at this point, my notes kind of drift off as I got really engrossed in this match. I know Kidd hit his super-sweet Swinging Fisherman's Neckbreaker that I love so much, and that Neville eventually picked up the win with the Red Arrow, but other than that, all I can say is that it was another great outing from these two.
Match Rating: Please, Tyson Kidd, Never Leave NXT.
Afterwards, Neville gets on the mic to tell us he really wants to win this tournament, and win back the NXT title. I'm ... not really sure you needed to tell us that, Adrian. We kind of figured that already.

Sasha and Becky are getting ready for their match backstage. As expected, we learn that Becky is planning betrayal at Takeover, and it's going to be every woman for herself. Let me just say, this four-way is going to be the sleeper match of the show. They know that Zayn/Owens is going to be a killer main event, and I think all four of them are planning on being spoilers for that. Just like at (R)Evolution, I think the ladies are planning setting a very high bar to follow.

We also get a promo from our new champs, Blake and Murphy. They let us know that they are very happy about winning, and very bad at cutting promos.

The women's tag match is next. Bayley opens up for us with a series of arm drags, and then tags in Charlotte. Charlotte does this really cool bridging pin combination, and I love it when she finds ways to use her height and lankiness as weapons. Eventually, Sasha Banks takes over by dropping Bayley's throat across the ropes, and she and Becky work over Bayley's injured knee. Still, she's able to make the hot tag to Charlotte, but Charlotte winds up eating Bankrupt. Bayley makes the save, but clips Charlotte in the process. Charlotte proves that she is a total ingrate by getting in Bayley's face about it, and then this whole thing breaks down into a no contest.
Match Rating: Setting The Table.
The refs pull the brawl apart afterwards, and again, I am super excited about this match.

Baylor and Itami are facing each other in the tournament next week, and have some words for each other. That ought to be pretty great.

Emma is back in NXT! That's great news for me, and probably less great news for Emma. This is your Sad But Probably Accurate Fact for the week. Also kind of sad: Her first feud is against Carmella.

Our main event match is Corbin against Dempsey, again. This is kind of a nothing match, with nothing fancy going on. Ends when Dempsey eats an End of Days.
Match Rating: Thbbbbbt.
They're really giving Bull nothing here. I know which one of these guys has a bright future in the company and all, but making it seem like beating Bull doesn't mean anything doesn't do anything for Corbin, either. They have a backstage confrontation after the match, which ably demonstrates that Bull is about a billion times better speaker than Corbin, but otherwise does nothing of note.

Our actual main event is a main event contract signing. GM Regal calls out both Zayn and Owens. Now, this is not Regal's first BBQ, so he know how these things always break down. He says that if either man get rowdy, he will call off the match. Zayn is quick to sign the contract, but Owens just stands there like a lump, so Zayn gets on the mic. He wants to know why Owens did what he did. He comes off like this is the worst betrayal he's ever experienced. He is selling a deep emotional hurt here. Owens eventually gets on the mic, and reveals that the whole thing wasn't about Zayn, it was about the title, and since this is a non-title match, he ain't doing it. Zayn, chump that he is, agrees immediately. Regal is all like, "didn't you watch Tommy Dreamer in ECW? This guy is totally going to take your title at your first defense, don't do it!," but Sami didn't bother watching late-era ECW and just assumed that everything worked out great for Tommy. Regal finally relents, and Takeover is now featuring a title bout between Zayn and Owens. You didn't think that it was really going to be non-title, did you?

NXT continues it's hot streak, and with Balor/Itami next week, I have high hopes going forward. This is what I pay my $9.99 for.

I love the way that Sami and Regal initialed the change to the contract before giving it to Owens.

Does anyone know how I can find out what Goldylocks looks like. The NWATNA website isnt quite an award winning site, and lacks pictures. Actually I don't know what half the guys look like.
