We're back with regular NXT episodes after last week's live special, and we get a recap of it at the start of the show.
Mojo Rawley beat Aiden English with the Hyperdrive again, making up for me forgetting to include the match in the recap from 3 weeks ago.
New NXT Women's Champion Charlotte defeated Bayley with the Bow Down To The Queen. During the match, Summer Rae returned and came to ringside to reunite with Sasha Banks and distracted Charlotte, allowing Bayley to try to pin Charlotte with a backslide. Charlotte escaped and kicked Bayley and hit her finisher. All three attack Bayley after the match, with Paige and Emma coming to Bayley's rescue.
Jason Jordan & Tye Dillinger won against Stuart Cumberland (in the black trunks) & Philip Gouljar after a Jordan Slam to Gouljar. No graphic for the jobbers, so that's my best guess on their names. Before the match, we had a short promo of Jordan & Dillinger singing, where we learn Dillinger's full name is Tyler Ulysses Fredrick Dillinger The Third. After the match, we see CJ Parker in the crowd protesting with a "May the Forest Be With U" sign.
Backstage, the BFF's (Beautiful Fierce Females) are reunited, with Summer Rae telling Charlotte & Sasha Banks what she's been up to in her absence. Total Divas, filming the Marine 4 with The Miz, etc.
The new #1 contender Tyler Breeze comes to the ring for the world premiere of his three time MTV Euro award winning music video. The video starts with a graphic saying "Dedicated to all my fans ...even the uggos", and basically is just Tyler in a recording studio singing his new theme song. Afterwards Tyler exclaims "The lyrics are genius! Genius!" to a tech who says "They're good." to which Tyler replies "I wrote them." Written by, performed by, inspired by, edited by, produced by, directed by, special thanks to and most gorgeous: Tyler Breeze.
NXT Champion Adrian Neville beat Justin Gabriel with the Red Arrow in a No Disqualification NXT title match. At least, that's what the graphic before the match said, but there was no announcement during the ring intros stating either thing, and nothing happened in the match that would warrant a disqualification. Justin Gabriel did get a cut above his eye during the match though, causing some swelling.
After the match, Tyson Kidd came to the ring to apologize to Tyson Kidd for his actions after losing lat week and asks for one more chance. Neville agrees and gives him a rematch, and they shake hands.
The Tyler Breeze music video is hilariously campy. I'm quite surprised they haven't paired him with Rick Martel, even for a one-off, but maybe they'll go that way when he debuts on the main roster.
Jason Jordan and Tye Dillinger? Wonder if Tye is Doug's nephew or something. Anyhow, it was a bit of a snorefest. Jason and Tye are BORING.
Adrian Neville vs. Justin Gabriel was fantastic. I would love to see them go at it again.

Where's Doug Dillenger's Legends contract, dammit? Seriously, I became a thousand times more interested in this kid based on the sheer possibility. Especially if the other guy is somehow related to Ralphus.

Originally posted by EcksTye Dillinger was formerly in WWE as Gavin Spears on the ECW brand. Before that, he was Shawn Spears in developmental. So no relation.
Perhaps not, but it'd still be fun to think of them as being related.
Dillinger (Ty, not Doug) actually looks a little like Sonjay Dutt.
Oh, after re-watching the show (thanks, Sportsnet 360) I can honestly say that I don't like Charlotte's new music. If they're gonna remix Flair's music, do it better than that. It doesn't work.
Wouldn't "Bow Down To The Queen" make more sense as the name of a finisher if Charlotte was related to Hunter, not Ric? Shoulda saved it for Aurora Rose in 15-20 years...

Charlotte, NC (her namesake) is nicknamed "The Queen City." Also, she is billed as hailing from The Queen City.

Makes sense, but still in WWE context, that's a phrase I hear coming out of Lemmy's mouth. :)
