Please tell me its not true, it is total B.S. I hope? Has Vince Mac. lost his mind jumping on the Bischoff gravy train.

At least Vince Russo thought the NWO angle was stupid, and Hogan was a piece of $hit!

Hey It might not be as bad as all that.

First off, one of the hugest problems with it (From what I recall reading on the ALWAYS reliable 'Net) was that it was a case of storylines being made up like minutes before Airtime.
Vinny Mac don't work that way (Although it might Explain Rockabilly, or Ambiguously Gay Gunn and Chuck, or why Gunn is still employed...)
Secondly, the NWO was really cool before they started admiting everybody and his dog in, regardless of talent. So you could say what killed it was ...the orange goblin who rumors say will be back as well....

Oy Vey, they're doomed, Doomed I say....8-P

Okay it may suck, but like everything, it all depends how its handled, and considering VKMs recent lack of success (Invasion angle, XFL, the pure hilarity of the Kiss my Ass club) maybe he's due.

Just do what most fans who have stuck around tend to do, ask yourself, what is the WORST possible way they could legitimately go with this, and expect them to do that. If they do that, then say "I thought so". If they don't then you can say "I thought it would be worse....

Of course I liked the NWO because I was a WWF fan who rarely caught WCW, so I didn't end up overexposed to it.

There is no way that Nash and Hogan will be able to do whatever they want this time around. Vince isn't Eric Bishoff and the lockroom won't allow it. With people like Austin, Taker, and others the locker room just won't stand for it. Maybe the undercard don't have a choice, but the uppercard wrestlers could say something. I for one won't stop watching.

The original NWO gimmick went on way too long and got stale . . . but it was mega cool back in the beginning IMHO.

I guess all we can hope is that there's a new twist on this theme . . . I do worry with Hogan involved in all this now.

why worry that much... i dont think that vince would let hogan run his business into the ground... and if he is looking to recover from the invasion angle then i think they would put a lot of creativity into the angle... nWo 4 life

You know Benny, the NWO didn't bring fans back to WCW in 1999 or 2000, why would it bring back fans now? In fact, WCW is dead b/c of NWO. After NWO they couldn't create the next big angle to follow up to it.

You can't say that the nWo on it's own was the fall of WCW. The final incarnation of it (what was it called? Silver?) wasn't that impressive, but really since it was all main-eventers, it didn't drag that much.

It was more of WCW insistance of pushing people the crowd didn't like, such as Buff Bagwell, Kevin Nash, Sid, Animal, and Luger. I'd say that Flair's "Magnificiant 7" was dumber than any of the five major nWos (B&W, Wolfpac, B-Team, Elite, Silver.)

I think it was called the NWO 2000. I remember Kevin nash cutting a promo when they re-formed about how they weren't going to let any scrubs in like last time, and like, two weeks later the Harris Brothers joined.

If they ARE going to do the reformation, it needs to happen at or right before No Way Out. There NEEDS to be a payoff to that PPV name choice. The first time I saw a No Way Out PPV, I noticed the NWO initials "coincedence"... maybe it wasn't suppossed to be hard to figure out. It was obviously an intentional shot at the nWo. Well, this year, they have a chance to play on that.

When the nWo Silver and Black came out in 2000, WCW was already over. There was no way that people were going to come back to WCW at this point. Most people will FORGET this ever happened. When the WWF bought the WCW they assumed that the initials WCW would have enough name recognition to sell a product. Well, the names Hogan, Nash, Hall and the initials nWo are things that casual fans WILL recognize. They are not damaged goods in the eyes of casual viewers the same way that WCW was. WE may have a problem with their locker room politics and workrate, but as JR would say, "They put asses in seats."

I can honestly see the beginning or a huge start to the nWo at No Way Out.... but honestly i think the WWF would let the nWo run for about 3 months... hopefully that wouldn't be to long if they do it right....

benny sure hasn't got any faith in vince anymore has he? as far as i see a dx vs nwo feud would be a good thing to do. or a clique reunion , including nash ,hall, micheals, x-pac, road dogg, gunn, hhh , hogan, justin credile, and chyna. they would rule the wwf.

And there you go wrong already, I'd say.
And I don't mean the names you list but the huge numbers..
Any stable or invader should be just a small group of people. 4-5 TOPS. DX remained interesting because there were only four men + "valet". Horsemen four men + manager.
The original nWo, nWo 2000, Wolfpac, etc were 4-6 guys I think. the crowd loved it.

If you make the group any bigger you get the upper/lower rank members, the guys to cheer/boo for and the guys ppl dont care about.

If Vince would bring in Hall Nash and Hogan as a small faction to try to make one final run, it's do-able. If you reform the clique/dx/nwo with all the above named people it's gonna be a clusterfuck.

Whatever..

Cool.

Just plain cool.

I, for one, don't think it'll ever happen. However, if it does, the nWo showing up in the WWF would be cool.

Any naysayers? Hmm?

Vince McMahon hires the nWo. That's Hall, Nash, and Hogan. These guys are legetimate draws. Hell, if anybody were running a wrestling promotion, you'd want Hall, Nash, and/or Hogan. They're big names.

Then again, since it's already a longshot, what if all the prominent members showed up? Wouldn't be so bad to see Jarrett on my screen calling Micheal Cole slapnuts, would it? Wouldn't it be something if they actually got a hold of Bret Hart?

But you're right. The nWo wouldn't draw fans to the WWF. Even if Hart showed up. (HUH?)

All it would accomplish is to let me look like a dork again when I wear my nWo shirt rather than look, um, like a different kind of dork.

The Lovely Mrs. Tracker was impressed by Paul's speech. She said it was more intellectual than what she normally hears, and she'd right. There was at lest an attempt at a continued analogy, and it didn't involve any muy-macho terminology.
