And that would be about 95% of the people that used to attend all the tapings at the Fairgrounds/the Asylum in Nashville.

Seems like the company has finally given up and said "yeah, we have a welfare version of Kane on our roster." It's the first reaction any fan has or had when they see him.
I remember seeing an AMW shirt on their site with the words "Sorry about YOUR DAMN LUCK" (emphasis theirs) on the front or back of it. What the Hell does that mean, anyway? What sort of context does it have to the tag team? Maybe they adopted a catch phrase and I missed it, in which case I refer you to the first question.
Lame. Just lame.

I don't actually think that's true, since every wrestling shirt I've ever seen looked embarrassing, and people still wore them. They all have big ugly block lettering, stupid phrases, wrestlers' faces... and people wear them in public. I think that wrestling fans, especially those who would buy wrestling shirts and wear them, in general probably think those designs are really cool. It's like when I see people wearing hip-hop groups' shirts... these things are incredibly cheesy looking, but I see them on men and women who obviously think they look good.

I can vouch for that. I have a friend who is a huge wrestling fan, and I remember once I bought him a couple of t-shirts with Triple H and Stone Cold's face on them, and he wears them in public, often and proudly.
And yes, I like the Shark Boy shirt.

I look for shirts I can wear away from the arenas. Something graphically interesting, somewhat clever and easy on the colors. The Benoit X-ray shirt was a fave, as was the Dean Malenko Eyes of Ice shirt. I immediately fell in love with Eddy's Latino Heat tobasco label shirt, and wear it as I would any t-shirt in public.

And I'm a little disappointed that the belt-over-the-shoulder NWA-TNA shirts aren't on there. Oddly enough, they're not on TNA's online merchandise offerings, either.
But NWA Midwest's merch site has 'em! (Also available at all ACW-NWA Wisconsin shows...click the link in the sig for showtimes.)

Oh, I'm not saying that there aren't people out there who proudly wear shirts with Hulk Hogan's glistening muscles plastered all over it. I just think that the big sellers are usually ones that look cool enough that they can pass off in society as acceptable shirts without the wrestling stigma. Austin 3:16, nWo, D-Generation X... Those are probably the best selling shirts of the past 10 years or so and all are shirts that could pass as non-wrestling shirts.
It's probably just a 'to each their own' situation. I have no problem wearing my Brian F'N Pillman shirt (from ECW) or my RVD shirt with the dragon on it. However, I wouldn't be caught dead outside of my house wearing a shirt that has Goldberg standing there in his underwear.

The earlier comment knocked his gimmick, not the man. I'm sure he's a great guy. He just has a look and gimmick that's a clear knock-off of the Kane character. It's not his fault, and it was never implied as such.

Although the logo they use for the TNA merch section in the sidebar menu is BEGGING to get some usage for Jeff Jarrett merchandise. At least it's in that one shirt, but why not something that's just the logo?
