...so are you gonna watch it? I figure I might as well give it a chance, but there's no way I'm getting it every week, especially if half the time, it's not even live. I maybe buy a live show once or twice a month(depending on how good it is) but I don't think I'll be waisting money on the taped shows. Anyone else planning on getting it?

I'm definitely getting the first show, and I plan on reading the results for the next show and judging my purchase of the second week on that.
By the way though, once they get to Nashville in July, they will be having live shows every week, so the live/taped issue will become a non-issue.
Because the Royal Rumble match has always been my favorite gimmick match, I am psyched for the "Gauntlet for the Gold" and of course the women will be there. Daffney and now Indy hottie Alexis Laree will be involved, so I am ready.
It might suck, but I will reserve judgement until the show ends. Good luck Jeff.
Prediction- Ken Shamrock is your first NWA:TNA champion.

I don't know... if I get hooked on this, it'd be $40 a month to keep up... $4.95 a week seems more like what I'd be willing to pay... of course, I have Cablevision- I just checked, and it's not available to me at all. Weird, I saw a commercial for it last night on MTV. First they tell me digital isn't an option in my area, now this... at least I get UPN here (Syracuse, I'm looking in your direction).
Highly unlikely. I don't like to pay for stuff, and I'm not going to blow $5 AND a Wednesday night I could spend playing Morrowind on a fledgling wrestling promotion. I'll wait a few weeks, and if I hear good about it, then I might give it a shot.
I guess the Jarretts have inadvertently lost one viewer. I planned to get it just for the train-wreck-fascination value but it's not playing on Dish Network, so I'm screwed. Oh well. I guess I'll go to one of the live events (they're just as cheap).
YOU WANT A PIECE OF ME!?! - The immortal, chilling words of...The Shockmaster!
GOOD THING: AJ Styles, Jerry Lynn, Low-Ki vs Jorge Estrada, Sonny Siaki, Jimmy Yang... IF they let them do what they're capable of and give them enough time to work BAD THING: The qualifier above isn't a given
GOOD THING: Lingerie battle royal with ten "divas" BAD THING: One of them is Francine
GOOD THING: York & Matthews vs. The Dupps might not suck BAD THING: Exactly thirteen of us remember the Dupps
GOOD THING: Hardcore midgets on a rampage BAD THING: What bad thing? MIDGETS == RATINGS.
GOOD THING: Dick & Rod Johnson make their debut BAD THING: That I'm goofy enough to consider that a good thing (c'mon, it could be cheesy enough to be funny once)
BAD THING: Country music and NASCAR guest stars GOOD THING: The remote possibility that someone'll sic the hardcore midgets on them
GOOD THING: Devon Storm and Norman Smiley are in the house BAD THING: As cannon-fodder for the main event
BAD THING: Konnan will be wrestling GOOD THING: Without his music video BAD THING: I'll betcha that his balls are still too big, requiring ritualistic shorts-shaking GOOD THING: The remote possibility that a chunk of the roof could collapse and fall on him while he has Bagwell in a headlock
GOOD THING: DON WEST~! on commentary BAD THING: Your PPV fee does _not_ include a McGwire rookie card
GOOD THING: Ricky Steamboat and other retired veterans give the evening a touch of class BAD THING: ...which will probably be immediately followed by two guys wrestling in penis costumes
BAD THING: Hey! Rick Steiner! GOOD THING: He exhales carbon dioxide, which is needed by plants
GOOD THING: It's only ten bucks BAD THING: That and ten more will get me Frequency for PS2
SUM TOTAL: It's a train wreck waiting to happen. But at ten bucks, why not?

Cablevision? Aren't they the ones whose customers had a shitfit once they heard they couldn't get YES? And now Cox (out cable company) got hammered for an hour on a call-in show because we have to pay $2/month more for YES, but we lose MSG (and we STILL don't have NESN, which pisses me off to no end)?
But to get back on topic, no, I won't. Haven't bought a PPV in my life, the people who did buy them stopped watching long ago, and the last live event I saw was WM11. Yeah, I'm a delinquent fan.
I've always felt that returns from injuries are the best opportunities for Creative to play hard and fast with a character. Heel turns and elevations can be accomplished quite easily by just plugging a guy into a new role.
