I could not possibly disagree more with that statement. "My Immortal" is HORRIBLE. Amy Lee is HORRIBLE on the radio and live she's even worse. I wish Evanescence would leave my radio forever.
God help me I really did not want to like Evanescence. I grew really tired of "Bring Me To Life" and felt better about the world for doing so. But that damn "My Immortal" song grew on me against my own will and better judgment.

I'll split the difference and say it's not completely her fault. But whoever produced the vocal track and put it through the number of filters they did (and this is just the NON-FX parts I'm talking about) should be shot through their hands so that they never run a soundboard again.

Drop the "emo" bit and you're right with your assessment. They aren't emo, they're just whiny bitches. Brand New's got a decent song in "Sic Transit Gloria", but they're eh. Someone PLEASE torch their rivals in Taking Back Sunday, though. They couldn't be any more annoying. Someone needs to remind the world that emo is supposed to have a "core" after it.

Sadly, it appears that Five Pointe O are no longer with us. The singer and one of the guitarist quit a while ago and they never got round to replacing them. Whether they're still around is anyone's guess, but they're not on Roadrunner anymore. This is a shame, I saw them on the Roadrage tour a little over 2 years ago and although not entirely my thing, they got the crowd going big time. I still think they should have gone on first, instead of 36 Crazyfists, though.
This hurt me so much. I can still remember the day in 1986 that my Godmother bought me "Raising Hell" on tape. I cant believe somebody would kill Jay. The man was truly an icon that helped define hip hop for me as a kid. He will be missed.
