I picked up Need for Speed Underground 2 yesterday and was wondering what other W's thoughts were on it.

I haven't had a chance to play much because I've been grading speeches but the little bit I've seen so far is quite good. The default graphics are a lot better and the maxed out settings are great if your system can handle it. The upgrade and customization feature is different and I'm still getting used to that. I'm really enjoying the more free form nature of searching out races rather than just having them assigned to you although I really dislike the new way of doing the drift competitions. Overall, my early impression is that it is better than the original, but it still needs some work on damage modeling, there is none, and that stupid catch-up feature, although that's optional on some races.

SCOTT ADAMS TEXT ADVENTURES~! There are Z-Machine ports out there of the Adams games, so that you can play them on the same application that can play the Infocom games as well. EDIT: And speaking of Infocom games...
