Sigh...just another reminder of how good Morrison can be when he doesn't have to read off a script from some hack writer. I have to admit, this is the best way for him to go out...by getting exploded in a Mr. McMahon Memorial Limo.

I bet this is the only sendoff he will get.
Did he just say 'stamford? no"

Btw, gotta hope that Ryder's dad now becomes a fan of Mason Ryan or some useless guy like that. Both his 'infatuations' are now gone.

I thought that too, but then I realized he must have said (Scott) Stanford, Ryder's long-time Broski.

I've missed the last month (or two?) of Ryder's videos because my girlfriend 1) Insists that I wait until she is free to watch it with me because she enjoys them so much, and 2) Always says there's something on tv she wants to watch when I suggest getting caught up. I think the one where Ziggler "hacked" his show is the first one I missed.

Disagree. Morrison won't help them sell a single ticket or increase their TV ratings.

The WWE doesn't bury people for spite, they bury people that don't bring in revenue, simple as that, and Morrison brought in zero revenue.

Please don't respond to sarcasm as if it wasn't sarcasm.

No, they totally bury people for spite. They do. To your other speculation, it can be argued that Morrison is but one of several people who could have brought in more revenue than they have had his (or her!) push traversed a more lucrative/correct path than the mistake-laden one WWE's Creative collective decided/failed to act on.

But how does a guy who they never, ever got behind consistently have a legit shot to draw? We will never know what he could have done because he was never given that big push.

Not to go round and round here, but every time they started for some reason or another something backstage always derailed him.

Unlike a guy like Randy Orton or JBL (or countless others), who never had a single incident outside the ring make them look bad?

Sometimes the WWE just decides to screw with a guy for their kicks.

Or even the best example of a jerk who still gets pushed to the moon: HBK in the late 90s.

Yeah, but that's a way different example. From 1996-1998 the WWF was starved for actual main event stars. Shawn Michaels was already one of the three top guys besides Bret and Undertaker. Bret was on his way out. Stone Cold was still months away from being the bona fide top guy (made so by Michaels dropping the WWF Title to him). The Rock's persona was still gestating. Mick Foley was months away from falling through Hell in a Cell and becoming a folk hero. Triple H was YEARS away from becoming The Game. Plus Vince loved Shawn regardless of his antics, and needed him until Shawn had to quit to heal his back.

Today, John Morrison is a midcard guy in a completely different WWE environment, so the comparison doesn't wash.

Of course they do. I would love for them to give McIntyre one of those reset pushes that Morrison kept getting. There is more main event potential wasting away there than Morrison.

If Morrison heads to TNA, I will start watching their product.

I admit, I like the guy. I think he's fun to watch, and a great competitor, too. To hell with the backstage newz and rumourz, I enjoy his work.

Wow, you really over analyzed my response. Complete with historical perspective. Don't I look the fool? Nevertheless, HBK is still the guy who started the trend the post was referring to: an asshole who still gets the moon push. I would say Ultimate Warrior, but I assume that answer would be dissected as well.

My wife has a Morrison shirt and we have the DVD which is about twice as much Orton items we have in the house. He brought in revenue look at those glasses. He was in a no win situation with Melina and in even worse position of having to deal with being a face in a self imposed clog of main event faces. He couldn't get past Orton, Cena and DX. Its taken a minor miracle get Punk over and they almost fucked that up.

I'll watch him on TNA, but I don't expect much from them either. CRZ is right, WWE does things out of spite. You could argue they should have fired both Morrison and Melina instead of dragging him along for months.

If you or anyone else would like to tell John Hennigan such directly, you can do so here. (thankyoujohnmorrison.blogspot.com) He reads the letters posted on that blog.

Well, they still might have the Guitar Hero guitars backstage - maybe Hemme can reform the Rock n' Rave Connection. Somebody call Lance Hoyt.

I figure he comes in as a take-off of Johnny Nitro as Johnny Raw or Johnny Smackdown. Either that, or they go with something like John Mortenson just to come as close as possible to the WWE character.
