Ladies and gentlemen, if you were scratching your heads last Thursday when the Federation gave Jackie the second TE contract over Jake, the reason why became clear. The main event of the Velocity tapings was Ivory against Linda, and Linda actually got booed... until Jackie came out as her valet, and the crowd reaction completely turned around...
Joy of joys, Hogan v. Hunter to decide the #1 contender. Maybe I oughta get used to Jericho getting dicked over (he was the last to be officially eliminated from the battle royale)...
Jesus... two weeks ago Hardcore Holly was the Evil Referee screwing over Randy Orton, and this week he's facing Kurt Angle. Why can't they freakin' make up their minds with him?
The Rikishi/AGT angle looks to be over (FINALLY), and I couldn't care less.
Apparantly, they were going to reveal the Mysterious Evil Adversary of the Hurricane's last night, but the live crowd never got to see it... could it be that they're actually going to try and SURPRISE us with something?
Well, the night wasn't a total loss for Jericho... after Edge cut a quasi-shoot promo about his injury, Jericho got to destroy him further and apparantly gain a slot by forfeit in the KOTR tourney! I also like how they're finally elevating Val Venis a bit (though, to my chagrin, at Christian's expense...)
D-Von v. Faarooq: Unless it's a KOTR qualifier (which it wasn't), what's the point?
I am really digging Tajiri's rudo heel attitude, but he deserves better than just beating up on poor insignificant Maven...
And Hunter, el supremo jackass, gets the title shot. Joy.
CRZ NOTABLE QUOTABLE OF THE MONTH: KANE: Triple H...tonight, I will burn the flesh from your body! MICHAEL COLE: OH MY GOD. KANE THREATENING TRIPLE H, SAYING HE'S GONNA BURN THE FLESH FROM HIS BODY! CRZ: Umm, I heard it the FIRST time! -- WWF Smackdown, 9/9/99

***Great. Jericho is third in the pecking order. Not bad for someone who 'has no direction or push'

**Great, they are keeping feuds fresh and giving Holly the character of all round bad ass who doesn't care who he challenges.

**Great.

**They better have something taped later, because this is not delivering on promises..

**Hmm...ok..Jericho's character can use the KotR win to be even more of an asshole

**At least it's a match. And no 20 minute promo..

**In order to be an effective heel he needs to attack fan favorites. Maven is a fan favorite on the shelf anyways, so put the hurting on him ;)

**Yup..Taker vs H can be a good match, and I expect he is going to job to the Taker so the Big Red Evil gets some big title wins under his belt.. Unless they plan on a nWo/HBK vs HHH angle..
You know..half emtpy/half full..that kinda deal.

If its true, its another example that the writers and the contract negotiators are definately not on the same page. Tease a Raven push, release him. Tease a B2 push, release him.
