One of the great producers and songwriters of the Motown empire. Often working with Barrett Strong of "Money" fame, he wrote and produced such timeless hits as "I Heard It Through The Grapevine", "War", and most of the late 60s-early 70s Temptations hits. Some truly great records.
Graceland is one of my favorite albums ever. The songwriting is top-notch, Ray Phiri's guitar shines, and the whole thing works really well. The bonus tracks are nothing special, but if you've never heard the album, it's worth getting.
