Hiya! Newbie to the forum and relatively newbie to Wrestling (approx 1.5 years)

I really got interested around that whole Hurricane and Noble tease thing back in may-june. (Being a cruiserweight fan and all.)

On smackdown tonight, Noble was referring to bringing someone in...any speculation who it is?

(or did he say and I miss it?)

anyhow, that's about it...I'd like to hear what you guys (who actually know the stuff) think.

thanks!

My guess would be the charismatic Spanky from Ring of Honor as cousin Nunzio. Though I suppose it could be anyone.

The other recent signee, James " Little Guido" Maritato, maybe? I wouldn't rule out the possibility of it being an OVW guy, however. I don't know much about any of them so I can't really guess as to which one.

Having seen Spanky, I don't think he would make a convincing looking Cousin Nunzio. However, looking around on the web, I find a Little Guido site -- that I could believe as a Nunzio!

Given that he's already got some exposure and he's a good worker, I'd say that Guido's probably the best choice. But I'm curious as to how they'd play that off though...Would he be a hick too? Or would Jamie's cousin be an Italian guy?

Well, Nunzio's an Italian name so my guess is Maritato. I don't know how anyone got the idea that it was Spanky, from what I've seen of him in ROH he looks like a good looking version of Jericho.

Yes, I was thinking Little Guido to play his Italian cousin from the big city.

Maybe they will do a J.T. Smith with the F.B.I or D-Von with the Dudleys and bring in Shelton Benjamin as Knoble's cousin.

C'mon...

...it's obvious they're bringing in Danny Noonan's nemesis from "Caddyshack," Scott Colomby as Tony D'Annunzio.

He'll just stand on the ring apron during matches, yelling "Noonan....Noonan" during key points of the match.

Hopefully it'll be a good worker, so we can have another workrate-intensive tag team to slot into the Smackdown Tag Title wars.

If it would be an Italian cousin, I expect some fun misunderstandings between the two. Over Nidia eventually..
Holly cousins 2002?
Not a bad thing though..it should be cool.

And I expect them to tag and go for the titles and stuff.
Keeps Noble away from the CW belt for a while and gives you another insta-team.

Spanky and Guido sound like the two logical choices. I also wouldn't be surprised if we were all SWERVED and WWE brings in someone else from OVW.

Keep this in mind, people. Noble never said his cousin was a cruiserweight. He could very well bring in a new heavy like a repackaged Doug Basham.

Maybe Damaja from OVW could be the guy. He could play a "Crazy Cousin" convincingly.

Has "The Bull" Stamboli been too exposed on Raw to bring him back as a new character on SD.

Why not both?

I mean, how many trailer park hicks do you know that speak fluent Spanish? Doing an Italian hick wouldn't be any different really.

I was going to ask how some southern redneck could have a cousin named Nunzio, but as Moe points out, an Italian hillbilly could be kinda funny. You know, his flannel shirt is unbuttoned halfway down, showing chest hair and a big gold medallion; he's got a shotgun rack in the back of his IROC...

Is this Matt Morgan the guy from TE2 (or was it 3) that was big and got a leg injury early on and had to leave, and during the try-outs JR kept commenting they liked him but he was old (like 24 or something) and if he was gonna learn, he had to learn NOW?...
