What's up with Jericho being the curtain jerker. That sucks.

Matt put on a 5 star performance, but I missed most of it by flipping channels a lot, 1st to Die isn't too bad, Grammys are being annoying fun to watch cause it's SOO BAD, OZ is about to start and I think I may try to juggle it also, ANYWAYS, Mattitude looked great tonight.

i'd have thoughts on it if bloody main event in australia was carrying the event.

wanna try your hand at play by play?

failing that, who won the opening matches so far?

...But remember this. ROCK...CRUSHES...SCISSORS...but scissors cuts paper...and paper wraps rock...KIFF, we have a conundrum.

Well, so far, in this order; Jericho killed Hardy, Regal and Storm beat RVD and Kane thanks to a Kane Chokeslam(HA!), Mattitude whupped kidman with Shannon's help, and Undertaker had a decent match surprisingly with Taker (Ofcourse!) going over (Albert tried to interfere to no avail.), and lastly, Brock and Benoit - Edge beat Team Angle when Charlis Hass taps to the Crossface but Brock, to his credit was trying to pin Angle at the same time, I think THAT was some miscommunication cause it wasn't as close as you would think with the pin and tapping out.

This show is going awfully quick... why is it NOT dragging like they usually do?

You can get match-by-match reports at both the Torch and the Observer. Or if you don't care to click over: so far Jericho beat Jeff (followed by a HBK run-in), Regal and Storm beat RVD and Kane when Kane's match got twisted over his eyes and he chokeslammed RVD by mistake, Mattitude beat Kidman, Taker beat Show in, believe it or not, a pretty good match (and the goodness was all Taker), and Benoit and Lesnar beat Team Angle after Haas tapped to the crossface. Triple H/Steiner is just starting.

HA!!!

Steiner gets boo'd out of the arena. That's GREAT, I take back (yet again) EVERYTHING I ever sad BAD about Canada, you people are fucking awesome. Keep up the good work!

Oh yeah, and he LOST again. If this isn't his last match for Vince, they really ARE going down in flames.

Good Lord... I ordered the frickin webcast of this... and it sucked balls on so many different levels. We're running a T3 here, but then, I can barely get the 56k stream to run for no longer than 3m30s.... what the hell.

Anyhows, it was a fun PPV.

Jericho and Hardy put on a nice match, even though I didn't get to see the end sequence...

Storm/Regal-Kane/RVD... nothing spectacular, but we're being teased a nice little RVD/Kane split... I didn't get to see the aftermath of the match.

Mattitude winning with a 2nd Rope twist of fate was sweet and very NWAtnt-ish. I wish that the stream was working properly.

The Show/Taker match wasn't too bad... the damn stream kept f'in up when it get to a good part. I was hoping to see a killerbomb on Show once again.... but.. blah, I kinda like the big lug, so I'm glad it didn't happen. The choke-out... You just knew it was gonna end like that when Tazz kept talking about taker and MMA.

The handicap match was fun, but once again, the stream kept f'in up... pissing me off to no end... Anyhows, get match, and a nice tease for wrestlemania.

HHH and Scott Steiner was actually pretty decent... I liked that Steiner was going after the leg for most of the match, and it didn't seem to suck that much... I was laughing when they kept booing Steiner... they really need to turn him heel... thats when he's at his best. What are the gonna do with HHH now... I don't think they have enough time to build up a good feud between him and the Book before 'Mania

I loved Stone Cold's comeback... maybe the f'in stream messing up kept me wanting to see more... but I loved Austin pummeling the monkeyshit out of Bischoff...

Hogan and Rock... it was fun... the stream REALLY REALLY REALLY SUCKED during this match... and yea... although it was fun, it didn't really seem to capture the magic that the two of them had before. The screwjob was expected, but not that way... kinda cool.. I guess. I got a laugh out of Rock with Hogan's bandana, and Vince Mocking the Hulkster at the end...

Fun PPV... next time, I'm finding some place where I can order MANIA on fricking TV....

Fair show, but the crowd reaction helped it a lot.
Jericho is God.
RVD better be turning heel.
Rock's new video is awesome.
The 6-man (or 5-man, I guess) was excellent.
No WrestleMania commercial? What a rip.
The main-event SUCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!

TWO~!

*From an entertainment POV, Rock v. Hogan wasn't bad. The workrate's a different thing. Wasn't the ref bio'ed on Confidential?

*The Killer B's vs. Team Angle was the best thing all night when it comes to workrate, and the "Gorilla and TWO~! Canucks" was the best line of the night. Tazz's "JR -- Decaf~!" line was second.

*Speaking of decaf, I'm glad Austin's back, and I hope they (being Toronto) do the same to him that Montreal did to Hogan the night after. That said, the verbal hummer that JR gave is the reason why MC and Tazz rule so much lately. It's old hat, Jim. No pun intended. Also -- the backstage footage -- PUH-lease. Everybody's *SO* happy he's back. Um, yeah.

*I wasn't watching the Trips/Steiner, but was it me, or did I hear multiple "boring" chants?

Thumbs in the middle... but I still grinned ear-to-ear for Austin. Guilty pleasure.

The Stone Cold character has got to give JR a Stunner for that friggin' John Wayne comment on the Confidential he left.

It was Rene Dupree that got profiled on Confidential but Grenier had a write up on wwe.com, I believe.

Bad as it looked on paper, except the undercard which was good....Rock looked very rusty in the ring tonight, so much as the marks with who I was watching it with said that he looked rusty after a few moves...Best match for me was the 5 way, loved the ending, made sense (With Heyman gone this might be that statements swan song)...Jericho/Hardy was second, though, I got ol deja vu syndrome watching it...I liked Kidman/Matt but I still think Kidman is overrated by certain people...The Edge angle seemed very much rushed to me...Wasn't booker suppoused to have a match? I don't watch heat did something happen? That all for now, im too tired to make much sense.

Are they one in the same (since Llakor seems they are), or do we have Earl and Dave Hebner similarities here?

Just a few random thoughts on tonight......

Jericho curtain jerked, which sucked - but had a good showing as always..... I marked out for the security guard that took the "Great White fears pyro" sign - that ass should have been ejected and beaten. (Im a litle close to that whole situation, knowing someone in that fire, so that sign upset me a bit)....Anywho......HBK got CHEERS!?!?! Whoa, that blew my mind.

I thought Taker and Show had a pretty good match altough I'm just not seeing much continuity here. Show has been tossed around like a rag doll in previous weeks. He's been Angle slammed, F5ed to hell etc etc etc and now Taker can't lift him 2 inches?!?! Oh well - decent showing outta them two.

one word - Mattitude!

Got the feeling RVD is the one who will make the turn, which is probably a good thing. Poor Kane just can't keep a friend.

I agree that the Edge thing was rushed, but I guess they paniced. I enjoyed the match, but I didn't see the need to put Benoit and Brock over. Maybe it's just me but I think they're making Brock look toooooo unstoppable. We as fans have to believe that Angle has some sort of chance of winning at Wrestlemania, and right now they're making it look like it's going to be a squash. Angle needs some serious offense on Brock, and quick for this to be a believable "great" match IMHO... what do you guys think?

Stenier got booed outta the building which makes me love Montreal. Can't wait for Orton to be cleared.

Thought they were gonna tease Austin coming out a bit. Glass breaks - no Austin...... Glass breaks - no Austin.... Morley(or someone) comes down to ring and says he didn't show blah blah ... Glass breaks.... Austin goes to town. Either way, I'm very happy to see him back. Note: Bishoff took the stunners well... well maybe not the first one.

Rock/Hogan really disappointed me. I just wanted half the level they got to in their first meeting - didn't get there. Knew the screwjob was coming - just saw it in a different way. Knew something was up when the "new ref" got the main event. Would have been fitting if it were Brian Hebner, but oh well, they're obviously going somewhere with this new dude.

Overall good ppv for Feb.

I'd always thought that they were trying to go for an enterance like big ticket boxers get (Michael Buffer intro, security possee) to make him seem like a more legimate threat.
