|Somebody doesn't watch Velocity (what kind of sorry SOB would watch one of the weekend shows!), but I meant matches as part of actual feuds on network television. Which isn't to say I don't have all the world's respect for the B-shows making a valiant attempt at salvaging angles for one of their own (cf. Coach and Al discuss the Richards/Victoria breakup as if it had actually aired on TV).|

|JBL retains, Cena wins, Funaki retains, Joy wins, Bashams retain, Booker T wins, Taker wins. They should have built a HBK appearance to maybe boost buys but a run-in is welcome. Maybe a weary, concussed Randy Orton wanders into Pittsburgh and collapses on Takers hearse? I dunno how that angle will pan out.|

I haven't been following the hype for the match, but I would assume that the whole point of the barbed wire around the top of the cage is to prevent anyone from climbing up and out to escape. I don't know if that means the rules don't allow for winning by escape, or if it's still legal because the kayfabe assumption is that Show and JBL aren't crazy enough to brave the barbed wire. We'll have to wait and see if JBL slashes his body to pieces to force the issue, but I'm sure it'll be a moot point and that the match will end in a pinfall.
I guess escape through the door is possible, but it seems pretty ass-backwards to make the walls of the cage insurmountible, and then not even lock the damn door.
My prediction for this match is that, for all the effort made to keep the wrestlers in the cage and outsiders out, we'll still see someone break in or out of the cage, making the entire stip as pointless as the no-guitar rule at Against All Odds.
